Right, you're not using the dialer with the "Add Call". But, the hard Send button doesn't even work as a flash. I've switched ROMs three times today to test this functionality. On the other ROMS with the same dialer, I can:
- Call first number and get connected
- Press Send button
- Tap in second number
- Press Send button
- Get connected on the second call
- Press Send button to conference

The "Talk" soft button didn't do anything except bring up the keypad, and dialing then would just hurt the other person's ear with the DTMF :).

Could it be the long press Send button mapping to Rotate? Not sure.

Why is it so hard to make a program so that I can have the = icon on the top right corner and switch programs etc... why do i need a clock in the top right corner to begin with when there is a big clock on the home screen???

I absolutely hate clicking on a clock to bring a menu up and it sometiems likes to fight with the main task bar as to what is on top or what it brings up...

Hey guys, they have my WMPU ROM posted, regardless of whether you want to try it or now, head over there & leave a comment or just say hello! oh & fyi...the 6.5.3 rom has the caller id issue, so be forewarned.

I am testing a 23541 ROM now, so far it looks good, just needs alittle tweaking...

A quick noob question... I seem to remember reading somewhere that in between test ROM's I should flash back to the stock or shipping ROM first. Any truth to that? I want to go back to 2.1 briefly and see what I'm missing.

It's good practice to flash a shipped ROM before a new custom rom with a different sys. If you don't, you will eventually end up with random hard resets during use (though it doesn't happen everytime you don't flash back to shipped). The best thing to do is flash the shipped rom and let it get the the 'tap here to calibrate screen'. Then just flash your custom ROM. There's no need to do anymore than that (though some people like to let it go through customization, hard reset, flash new custom, hard reset, and waste lots of time :)).

just flashed, setting up all my personal stuff now :)

At $7 a month gouge for caller id i opted out of that option... so the no caller id is not an issue for me! :) but i sure wish i had it.. too cheap i guess.

I see now you are playing with 25006. Does that mean it is 6.5.2.25006? Since 6.5.3 is the latest iteration, where do new versions of 6.5.2 come from? Is there a stability issue with 6.5.3 that causes people to trust it less and want to stick with some iteration of 6.5.2? I guess that's 3 questions....

I believe 25006 is also 6.5.3

Bummer too cuz having AGPS is really useful in NYC where you are often in tall buildings with no way of locking on to the GPS satellites (sans going outside of course).

I'll try using the older version of AGPS package & see if that restores it back to the way it was.

though I just tested, loaded google, and it went straight to where I was

I checked in the registry and added the domain, however the change does not stick. So, no exchange email. The only thing activesync will tell me is that my password is incorrect. I have retyped it countless times and I did try to flash back to shipped, clear storage and flashed the rom.

I just downloaded your latest. Thanks. I will give it a shot.

....

On a whim, I decided to download your latest kitchen (1.9) and cooked up a 21887 rom and enabled every instance that said something along the lines of location, agps, geolocation service, etc, etc, etc...and it worked (though not quite as polished as your roms when it comes to everything else)

ill test this and see if agps works :) thanks again OMJ

Edit - still no dice for me. Flashed, installed google maps and still getting 'your current location is temporarily unavailable'. ive tried installing it to both main and storage to no avail. When I got it working yesterday using your kitchen, I had it cooked in. I wonder if it needs to be cooked in as ive seen that suggestion before.

differences between 23451 and 25006?

i just installed the 25006 last nite, over nite while locked and charged i woke up to it frozen and vibrating. had to remove the battery..

One cool thing i noticed was that the included opera in 25006 will actually open youtube app if you click on a video on the youtube web site!! Very nice... PRoblem is when i installed opera 10 v3 beta that feature went away.. is it a rom build option that allows this or the browser.. with opera10beta it opens streaming media and fails to play

This is precisely why I never went past 6.5. I can't stand that useless dropdown thing either, I just want to be able to switch out my apps. There are a dozen ways to make it more 'finger friendly' (playing with XDAndroid reveals there are indeed) without stealing more screen real-estate or making it harder to switch between apps.

Thanks OMJ, just testing, 1 quick thing would be to leave out the slide to unlock....wow this is very slow to load (almost 6 seconds).

I personally use mysoftreset (no warning) just touch the icon and you're soft reseting, their is one with a warning as well.

I used to be one of the time wasters  lol, and now I've gone to the other extreme of almost never flashing to the shipped rom. I've rationalized this by staying within the same com. The only time I now flash to shipped rom is if it coincides with a prl update. A reminder though, that if you do flash to shipped rom and have flashed a new radio, you will also have to flash the new radio again.

my 6.5.x ROMs do have a task manager, so if you have multiple programs running, when you tap the upper right corner, you will see your list of running apps & can easily switch

what he's saying is.....flash the stock rom, when you get to the calibrate screen, go back into bootloader mode & flash the custom rom.

I really can't make sense (for lack of a better word, lol) of this AGPS issue. I mustve flashed 10 times this morning trying to find the culprit and so far it seems like only 21887 builds work for me. Looks like I'm just gonna have to stick with this for a while.

1. ok that makes sense now, that will save me lots of time

2. yeah, it's a bit better but even that takes only a couple of secs less, but yeah I would prefer psshutxp to slidetoshutdown.

they are just shortcuts to those phone codes.....so instead of typing ##778# on your dialpad, you just run the shortcut.

Thanks man. So when did we go with the 6shortcut quick launch instead of the 16shortcut one?

And also, I have found one bug. MMS doesn't work. It shows the icon when it's downloading them, and it shows it in the messages tab, but when you tap on the message, nothing happens. And if you try opening up the MMS in All Messages, it just opens a blank page. Anyone experiencing this as well?

Anyone experiencing this as well?

the mod for 12 quicklinks hasn't been made for the new manila version yet...and maybe you had a bad flash because mms works.

The extra shortcut mod had not been completed for 2012 yet.

Shipped != Stock

Shipped is from the carrier themselves and is ROM+Radio
Stock is just the ROM itself

Duh, my mistake. I totally misread that.

OK, I really like this one. It's 2.5 2012 with 5.2.23533. Seems fast as heck. Sync worked, both with Outlook and MyPhone. Only bug I've found so far is the shortcut for Long Power lauches Slide To Shutdown. I see what you mean about the redundant time display in the top bar, but having it there in all apps isn't the worst thing.
Can anyone tell me where PIM Backup saves its files when you point it toward Internal Storage? Can't find any obvious folder and I hate having to manually fix speed dial every flash.

you tell it where to save. Maybe make a folder called pimbackup in your internal storage and save your pim file there.

I swear my phone has never run this fast! Just added Google Maps. Thanks for the link! Damn it's good. And the Time display on the task bar leads to a task manager of sorts. Anybody know where I can pick up a CAB for Bubblebreaker? It's my favorite timewaster. Thanks for the cool work OMJ!
