FACEBOOK ALBUM FIX


Copying this DLL to your windows directory fixes the Facebook album bug. Works fine now.

Maybe it was just with version 1.2....but in contacts when you have someones facebook profile linked to their contact card you can view their facebook pictures through manila...before it was just letting you view album names and you couldnt view any pictures.

Just flashed 1.4, I can view the grid of pictures now inside any album in the facebook album deal, but soon as I tap on a picture inside an album, the phone freezes. Dunno if that's the same bug you were getting with 1.2, but that's the facebook bug I'm getting now with 1.4. Will try that fix here in a bit and see if it has any bearing.

Sounds like OMJ included the fix with 1.4. I found that you have to let whatever picture you click on fully load before you open it. First you'll get a low res thumbnail, then a high res thumbnail meaning the picture finished downloading. Wait for the high res thumbnail to appear and you can load pictures. Also you can swipe between fully screen pictures flawlessly

Settings > System > About > Device ID
Though I'm not sure what you would change it to for BoA to accept... seems strange that this is an issue for mobile banking.

Few questions:
Under Settings > Personal > Phone > Advanced, why is reject call with text message checked automatically?

When I select Marketplace in Applications, it starts the installer the first time instead of the app itself, which installs to the main start menu. Do you know what is causing that? Youtube for example does not try reinstalling when I select it.

Am I the only person whos animated weather is NOT working? It's so weird - I dont have ANY of the issues that are being talked about - youtube, menus, GPS, calls, SMS everything works as its supposed to, I just don't have animated weather :(

I don't know..I don't use MyPhone. It doesn't create any problems for Exchange server. You will just have to give it a try.

Is anybody else having a problem with the album? It's off just a little bit, and you can't pull up any options for portrait mode.

Also, I'm still having the same epst settings restart the phone instead of writing them. I can't change my prl unless I use qpst.

Any takers?

OMJ Thank you!!! So far 1.4 it's working flawlesly: g-sensor it's fine and manila menus behave better, ... thank you...

I think i will keep this ROM for a while until you can cook the facebook tab in photo album, and a working footprint tab...(how is that going btw?)

I believe the "delete all" was missing from the 1922 version of menu enhancement, I have reverted back to the previous version, and it has the delete all. This is in my 28014 v1.4 rom.

no, 1922 has not been ported to VGA yet.....I have updated the dependency packages to 1922.

I've had this since it came out, it's in my kitchen too....I just dont care for it.

not sure why that is checked, I need to find that reg setting & turn it off.....but I can tell u calls do not get rejected.

That Marketplace is from the SYS, so evidently it's not the full app

this has been covered many times, Album 3.2 add social networking, but does not line up perfectly on the screen cuz album.exe is hardcoded for a WVGA screen....still waiting for it to be hacked.

Do the live visual bookmarks on the Internet tab work for anyone?

Even after being set, they don't seem to do anything other than sit there for me, but I was under the impression they were supposed to self-update.

I'm on Manila 2.5 1.3.

I assume you're still on 1.2? I think I have seen that in the past, but not lately.

I am not sure if pushinternet will work but I do know you need Opera 9.7 for the thumbnails to work.

I just installed Opera 9.7 and set it to be my default browser, but still the live links I add on the Internet tab don't seem to do anything. Are there any other settings I should try?

Manila Sub navigation wallpaper bugs...

Figured I'd post good pictures so you can see it clearly.

I'm on your Sense 2.5 | 6.5.3 | 28014 | v1.4 , both of these pics are from today ( 01/11/2010 ) and happened randomly when I was doing different things. Restarting manila fixes it and it reverts to the normal white background, but it happens often enough where it's annoying to do that every time. Happened at about 11 am and I restarted manila then it happened again at about 2:00.

Great battery life though I can't say enough about it. I was browsing the web (via opera, different apps, and through manila facebook), listening to music, sending e-mails, and sending and receiving calls between 11:30 and 2:00 which is why the battery went down so much between the two screen shots, but that was from HEAVY use, I pretty much used everything on the phone all at once except for the GPS. Good talk time, and standby time is amazing.

It happens in every sub menu like the music browser and contact card pictured above, but also in call history and others.

It doesn't happen all the time just occasionally, it's too random for me to be able to tell you what triggers it so sorry for not being able to provide more detail, but it will be perfect one minute and then look like the next.

The 28014 v1.4 update does have Manila Locker. Its in the settings tab under Personalize.

I've gotten this too.. And like JQuill said, hard to replicate as its very random.

Also OMJ, the section of the wallpaper that becomes broken changes size in height as well. Sometimes it exposes even more of the manila wallpaper through the white background.

Just a thought...sometimes it looks like it's about the same height as the text input box in manila SMS when you're not typing in it, and it is sitting at the bottom of the screen before you tap on it to start typing.

It's bigger in the above screen shots as opposed to the earlier screens I posted. And it is about the same size as the manila SMS input box (below), could it have something to do with the SMS input window? Because I noticed how when you browse through texts in the manila SMS windows (again, the one featured below) the SMS input window smoothly slides up and down with all the other messages. If it is an SMS input box error, this might account for the change in size of the error because the box can slide up and down? Just a thought...

ALSO: Whenever I hit the "Home" hardware button, a character map pops up that displays random symbols on the screen.


I know I'm picking apart a lot of little things here but everything else seems so perfect. If you took care of a few bugs you could ship all Diamonds with this rom and anyone could use it lol.

It is a custom status bar...you can find it at XDA-developers.com it's called "g-freak" I believe

Okay so far 1.4 has been stable except for switching from FingerKeyboard back to EzInput, which causes the SIP not to work.

But my question is, which settings do you guys use for battery life? I have push e-mail running through Verizon now and also an IMAP being checked every two hours.

yeah I saw the SS....I am not seeing that, that looks like the music tab, after hitting library? there should be a group of icons right above "back" & "now playing"....not sure why you're seeing it.

I'm on build 28014 and my Exchange account isn't syncing automatically. Hitting Send/Receive in Outlook Mobile doesn't work. I have to manually go to ActiveSync and hit Sync, even though it says connected. Is there a fix for this?

This only proves that I'm an idiot, which really isn't hard (for me) to do. I think I skipped 28014 when it first came out and went right to 28025.

Thank you both for helping me turn it on. I was looking in the Security tab and not the Personalize tab.

It automatically installs cabs to either main memory or internal storage, restores owner information, restores email accounts, runs .reg's or xml's, and copies files from internal storage to a directory on main memory if you want (I use it to copy my rings since they use twice the space when cooked into the ROM - they end up in /windows and /windows/rings). It's a real time saver for me. Compliant just means that the ROM will run SASHIMI on the second boot (the one after the customization). You can also run SASHIMI manually by running SASHIMI.exe from \Internal Storage\SASHIMI\Program\Bin. You can find a pretty detailed thread here.
