if you flash back stock before flashing another rom, it will take care of it.

i attempted that, but no luck. flashed to stock, even hard reset, but cant changed boot screen background - not a huge problem, but rather strange...

welcomehead.192.png is a different file -

what is the name of your file that has the hills and diamond icon in the upper right? i will search for it that way...

any other ideas?

Thats weird, flashing to "shipped" not "stock" always works for me. But the name of the file is MHDiamond.jpg I usually don't put those in, but with everyone flashing shipped before flashing custom, I didn't think it would be an issue.

this is becoming a quest

where would that file be located? i searched with phm and tot comdr- no luck...

perhaps i am using stock, is there a link to shipped for sprint diamond?

This is a link to the same file that i use and it works for me. If it doesn't for you. I will make you a custom rom that will over write it with whatever images you want.
