yeah kinda. i got ubuntu now cause xp took a crap on me. so i cant cook any more roms for now

That sucks your XP crashed. You should download virtual box (totally free) and run a copy of xp with virtual box. At least you could cook and flash.

it's software that lets you run OS's virtually. http://www.virtualbox.org/ is the link to their web page. You could run XP inside your Ubuntu.
