Re: 10-16 | ROM | WM 6.5 | Rhodium 2.1 || GadgetROM v1.5 || 21867 || CDMA

gadgetfreak: thanks a lot! I suppose it could also be related to the dialer app, somehow. I should mention I poked through the app's preferences but couldn't find any option that looked related.

inferno: not having any signal issues, no. I think that'd be more radio-related, wouldn't it?

Re: 10-16 | ROM | WM 6.5 | Rhodium 2.1 || GadgetROM v1.5 || 21867 || CDMA

Help needed!! My phone fell off bed last night and this morning when I picked it up and restarted it I noticed that the battery meter is showing 0% and with the windows mobile battery page it read "main battery unknown", I checked the battery pins and the corresponding pins on the phone, they looked fine and undamaged. But now the phone could not be charged and I could not flash or do anything as the battery shows less than 50%.

Any solutions? Thanks in advance.

Charge your phone for about 30 minutes just to be safe. Then put your phone in bootloader (power off>hold down power button & volume down at the same time until you get the rainbow screen). Once in bootloader, flash back to the shipped rom of your carrier. Then you can see if everything is ok or if you need to have your phone serviced. Key thing is, put it in bootloader, connect it to your pc, wait for the device to try connect (often I get an error stating it cant connect but it actually will have connection since "USB" is on the screen), then flash shipped as discussed. good luck.

Worked out with a duster spray. Maybe it was stupid to use a lysol wipe to clean the phone inside out, leaving some residue on the batter pins. After I used the duster to blow at the pin location and restarted the phone, the battery got recognized and could be charged again. Thanks all the same.

Gadget, are you using Opera 9.5 or 9.7 in the new release? 9.7 without smart scroll is a deal breaker for me, as I read a lot of texts online, so the "scroll-to-zoom" function is used extensively. Thanks a lot.

I'm looking at going back to the last version of 9.5. 9.7 has some nice features, but it also comes with a whole bunch of bugs, too, so unless the latest build that Calk is including in his kitchen is significantly better, we're going to take a trip in the wayback machine...

I don't have a cab for that. Just go to XDA-developers.com and do a search for backgrounds4all for manila 2.1.

FYI, gang, but real life has got me hopping around lile a frog on a hot rock, so I apologize for not getting back to you sooner with answers for you questions. I would like to toss out a special thanks to Rileyd5 and mwalt for helping everyone out. The newest version is just awaiting the latest kitchen updates for me to test and then we are good to go!
