Re: prototype rom v.2 9/19/09 loaded sys 23412 titanuim

I'll give it a shot in a little while. The flat panels on the home screen can save me from a ton of edits that I've been doing with the Bliss Theme and what have you.

Thanks for taking my feedback and running with it...

Re: prototype rom v.2 9/19/09 loaded sys 23412 titanuim

First off, I love the finger friendly-ness of the new SYS and ROM files. Microsoft is definitely on the right track.

Good first effort on the panels. My first impression is that there is a lot of wasted space on the "selected" panel (I prefer more tabs visible on the today screen which would require less space around the selected panel). I suspect that as screens get bigger this is going to be the way MS goes though so your probably on the right track...

One other danger in doing customized panels is support for installed apps. For example, your ROM comes with TitaniumWeather 4.1. I prefer TitaniumWeather 4.2 so I can see the current temp on the screen without choosing the panel. Installing 4.2 not only takes away the left aligned icon, it doesn't show the current temp and all the icons are broken in the forecast.

I'm guessing I will have the same experience when I install other apps like ArteseaTwitter...

But let me play with it for a few days and take a look at your CPR file. There might be some tweaks that will make it more to my mold than yours. But it's your ROM so cook away as you see fit. I'll probably try a few themes over it as well to see how the new SYS files handle those themes.

I miss pandora....

Otherwise this thing's great. What keyboard is this? I tried to install Fingerkeyboard and it gave me an error with this SYS. It worked fine in your previous ROMS.

Re: prototype rom v.2 9/19/09 loaded sys 23412 titanuim

I am enjoying this ROM. I find it very stable but slow. It seems to take a lot of time to get things done like hanging up the phone and closing the dialer etc. I too prefer Showaco weather 4.2 I could do without the Bluetooth disconnected alert.
You seem to be on a good track here but it could be a bit snappier.

I think the snappiness has to do with the SYS 23412 or so i've heard and read that it's a sluggish SYS. But i can not confirm that, as i have stayed on the COM 3 tree of SYS's lately.

That's all you need. D/L the DiamondRUU and place the nbh file in that folder. Run the utility.

You might also want to take a look at the "How to..." section pinned at the top of this forum for more information as it sounds like you might be new to this. Have fun flashing...
