Re: BonsaiROM3.1b (23409)-WM6.5.1-Gen.Y Manila 2.1-Titanium-Sprint

Love the new ROM. Downloading 3.1b right now. Will give it a whirl.
Glad the new dialer is Tachi - I can stop installing the cab every time, Just find it a lot more user friendly.

I usually install KamilM CompactHome Plus - it really makes the home page look really professional.
Here is the link for anyone who is interested. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=553361

Also, Watzone - I am not sure if you have played around with the Panoramic Background but they are pretty cool.
Just a thought for the future updates.
Thanks.

Re: BonsaiROM3.1b (23409)-WM6.5.1-Gen.Y Manila 2.1-Titanium-Sprint

so far so great with this rom.. albeit i removed and changed alot of the "bonsai" theme, (no offense to you good buddy)

i installed the tachi dialer, removed a bunch of stuff and hid alot of fluff apps in the start menu.. disabled voice command, and this rom is quite sweet.

i might also mention this fingerkeyboard has been the most easy to use out of the roms ive tried.. all the autocomplete xt9 crap can be turned off without any reg tweaks...

i also zero'd out the slider that was irritating tachi, so everything is finger swiping friendly now. I figured it was time to do away with it since MS has now enabled finger swiping in alot of context menus and drop downs, etc etc.

ONE BUG though. a magnifying box pops up randomly and if i double tap in some apps and clicking on drop down boxes. I cant find an option to turn magnifying off or if its just a bug in this build. any help would be appreciated. thanks!

EDIT: okay, i think i found the tweak to disable

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\GWE\MAGNIFIER]
"Enable"=dword:0

Re: BonsaiROM3.1b (23409)-WM6.5.1-Gen.Y Manila 2.1-Titanium-Sprint

Thanks mshnayde and Torx. Both of you have given me some great tips!

I tried the compact home before but I screwed up while making the EXT and gave up on it. I think I will add it as a uninstallable cab that will run during customization. Which one do you think is best, the "Plus", "Classic" or "Full"? I think "Plus" looks pretty good.

I have an EXT for Panoramic BG so I will throw it in the next version.

Torx, no apology necessary! How many times have I pulled out a bunch of stuff after flashing Mighty's or indagroove's ROMS (LOL, not that I'm comparing my ROM to theirs).

The only reason voice command is in there is because somebody ONCE requested it. I'm yanking it out because I never use it. How about remote desktop? Anyone use that? Internet sharing?

The magnifier should be disabled by default. You may have installed something that turned it back on.

Ok, I've got some work to do! Thanks again guys!

Re: BonsaiROM3.1b (23409)-WM6.5.1-Gen.Y Manila 2.1-Titanium-Sprint

Thanks again Watzone.
I personally like Standard the most. Kind of organizes everything and increases the space available. Have you had any luck with the album. After viewing a picture and clicking the envelope - there are no options there. I am not sure if we need to run the Arcsoft cab.
This question is for Torx - What do you mean you disabled the slider? How do you do that? Also, what was it doing that was messing things up?
Thanks.

I'm not sure what causes the lack of text in the mail picture options. They still work though. You could try running arcsoft and see if that fixes it.

OK, I'll go with standard compact home.

Torx, did you just reg edit the slider to be a width of zero? That would get rid of the slider in every app though.

Thumbs up Re: BonsaiROM3.1b (23409)-WM6.5.1-Gen.Y Manila 2.1-Titanium-Sprint

Watzone69 I love your work so far. i just found your ROM last night and flashed before i went to dinner and i don't think i'm going to switch ROM's any time soon, your work is great. first thing i did was delete the stuff i never use, and started installing my different cab files. my favorite part about your rom is how much storage space there is, by far way more than any other i have used.

haven't noticed many major issues yet but i am subscribing to this tread and ill let you know if i find anything. i am running the BonsaiROM 3.1 i cant wait to see what the next one will bring

Consider it kept.

Heck, I'm keeping Voice Command too. I may need it someday as bad as my eyesight is.
