Stability of English for both in ROM or.

I basically did the same thing you did and have the same problem... In addition I attempted to call sprint and for some reason my Unlock code won't work keeps saying it is invalid... I attempted even using that app on developers website to retrieve it and enter that and it still didn't work.... ARR brought it to a sprint store and they want to just replace it but i don't want a replacement....

Need some help with the Data on the Energy.VICTOR.23128.Sense2.5.Cookie.GTX.Aug.11 ROM.

I Got the Data working with installing dcd Sprint Carrier 20090109.cab
Data worked great for a day till..

Then I went to Settings/Other/Update PRL
After that the data would not work. With Error "Data Call Failure" Error Code 67 Registration Failure. Your PCS Vision username/password may be incorrect. the other one is "Cannot Connect" Dialed #777, with more text underneath.

So I did the flash dance again with the same Aug 11 ROM and tried the Windows/Tools/Carrier Provisioning and have had no luck getting data to work.

I go to Settings/Wireless Controls and Turn ON the Data - nothing even if it says it's on.

I also go to Windows/internet/internet sharing/menu/connection settings and have added My Connection with #777 to dial and leave the name and password blank.
This is where I think it's having problems My Connection tries to put in a password of ****** and I think it's supposed to be blank. Tried rebooting and rebooting with every little tweak I can think of.

I SO love this ROM!! I havent updated Energy's ROM since 12-24-09

What step am I missing? Is there a tweak I need?
Did I fubar my Sprint Diamond with the Update PRL thing?

Update: Now even flashing back to stock ROM I cant connect to the internet.
When I try and setup Windows mobile device center on the GTX version the default device name says "my computer's name HTC Touch Pro 2"

My guess is with the 23128.Sense2.5.Cookie.GTX.Aug.11 ROM version The PRL is set to the Touch Pro 2 and when someone updates the PRL you install the touch Pro 2 PRL.

Re-flashing back to Stock ROM still cant connect to the internet to re-update the PRL back to the Stock Diamond PRL.
Does this make sense? Can I download a .cab Diamond PRL file and install it to get the data working again?

Same thing happened to me. It took 3 levels of tech support over the phone to get it fixed. Had to do a reset from ##786# while they were resetting also on the back end.

The Update PRL and Update Profile on the Energy.VICTOR.23128.Sense2.5.Cookie.GTX.Aug.11 ROM blanked out my MISD and messed up my MSL so no data will work.

Yes I tried all the fixes, even the QPST with my correct MSL would not recognize it and the EPST failed everything that sprint tech did.

The Sprint tech was really good and knew his stuff, but even he said I have to go to the sprint store and basically blank out the phone and program a new MSL to the phone.

I understand and accept the risks of flashing custom ROMs.
Energy ROMs are amazing and to me worth the risks to enhance my mobile phone experence!!

I might be getting a Touch Pro 2 or a Windows 7 phone soon, so I probably wont be on the Diamond forum.
Here is a Big Thanks to NRG for supporting the Diamond and I am grateful! Keep up the VGA greatness my friend..

I will be donating again soon because I love this ROM so much!!!

Yes I did decide to get a new phone, the Touch Pro 2.
Man this Touch Pro 2 is slick and a big enough screen to actually browse the web and it not be annoying like the Smaller Diamond. I know I will update to a Win 7 phone when it comes out.

I wonder if you will be able to flash a Win7 NRG Rom to the Touch Pro 2??

Okay, I've been running the Energy.VICTOR.23128.Sense2.5.Cookie.GTX.Aug.11 rom for about a week now. Didn't have any problems with data or MSL (touch wood), just flashed the new ROM and installed dcd_Sprint_Carrier_20090704.cab, hit update profile, and it "just worked".

I have noticed a minor problem- I have it set to play a mp3 and buzz the vibrate when I get new email. Every couple of days the vibrate motor will get stuck "on" when I get a new email, and stay on for some minutes until I notice and hit the end key (which stops the vibration). It's happened three times now.

Got my changed MSL code... than I had to spend an hour on the phone with the sprint tech.. the first tech messed it up more basically making the phone not even work... the advanced tech named Mary of the Kentucky center was very nice and helpful and basically redid something on her end and it worked just fine.

The sprint store was useless... they wanted to send me a new phone.

Still have no idea why my MSL code is different... I had to use that thread to get my changed MSL code and use that when they'd tell me a different code... What effect will this have if my MSL code changed in the future?

You can use QPST to change your MSL to whatever it was originaly.

Someone help please !!!
I flashed the phone with this ROM everything was working fine the whole day. I decided to restart the phone. I pressed the top power button and held it for few seconds. The 3 slide bars appeared asking to restart or shutdown. I slide the one that said restart. The phone just froze and I couldn't do anything. I took out the battery and tried again this time the phone turns on it flashes the Touch diamond logo with the radio version and then just freezes again. I also tried the reset on the back and it didnt help. Anyone???

I managed to boot it up but it took about 5 resets.
