I have had no problems with GPS on the 23071 rom. Someone on the TP forum found a fix for the freezing issues. It is a link to XDA for the original person that solved it. Here ya go

i had a problem which i have never had since i have flashed these roms, whenever i turn on my telenav or when other gps app, when trying to find location or map route the phone soft resets, now to day i got a call then the phone just shut down never came back on, never had an issue like that before, not since i flashed the oct 22 rom.

With Notification Manager disabled (on 21864), when I click battery icon, Power Options system applet does not appear. How to fix this?

I am loving the ROM but am also having GPS issues. I first noticed them when I was on Gadget's ROM. I flashed shipped then NRG's yesterday and still no luck. Google Maps works but when I try to use the GPS in any program it soft resets the phone.

Had exactly the same problem. I had to flash to shipped several times and do a hard reset. Running Gadget now no problem... except NO AGPS. I liked it while it lasted on NRG.

I had the same problem. Was able to fix it by updating the radio to Alltel 1.12.20F (was on Telus 1.04.05V).

How can I get my picture mail (MMS) working again? When I take a picture, my only choice to send it is "email". I re-ran the Sprint picture CAB that came out for the stock ROM, but that did not improve things.

After you install the picmail cab, make sure you go into picture mail in the messaging app. Then go to Menu>New like you are creating a new picmail and it should provision your phone again.

i found a fix for the keyboard freeze issue with 21864...i just overwrite the new version that nrg uses with an old one... and magic... no freeze.
just download, disable manila, and copy to windows directory using TotalCommandor to overwrite...
