I'm looking forward to trying this.

I messed around with making an Extendir ROM but most of the packages I built with Extendir Cabs wouldn't work. Some apps just didn't like to be aliased. I'm curious to see what you were able to cab and what you had to cook in.

Can you be a little more descriptive about what's in the ROM?
One Note?
VoiceCommand?
Groove's KB/SIP?
Additional Titanium panels? Weather? Next appt calendar fix?
Sashimi?

Do we have to put that ExtenDir file somewhere if we don't want Manila?
What's Barcorama?

Thanks.

The Extendir file needs to be placed in the internal storage so you can install programs and use extendir's file system, its essentially good for manila, so if you dont want manila, you dont need it.

sashimi is not included because preset installer installs cabs for you.

Barcorama is program that lets you take a picture of a barcode, and it will locate the products information online.

Re: STX Rom 3eX (Extendir supported)

I flashed this about an hour ago after a few days with my finger stuck on the refresh button (yes, I was looking forward to trying out an Extendir rom). I'm trying to get things fully working now - the only issue I'm really running into is that ActiveSync won't sync OTA. If I can't get this working after a hard reset I'll probably try again when the next version is released.

I'm still getting used to the Extendir concept and installing using the preset installer, but I can tell it should be beneficial.

Thanks!

So if I'm not using Manila, I don't use ExtenDir?
Will ExtenDir still be used for other installed programs?
I can put copies of all my Sashimi cabs in the preset installer folder?

Re: STX Rom 3eX (Extendir supported)

Yes - I did put my Sashimi cabs into the preset installer folder.

Any ideas about the ActiveSync issue?

EDIT: The error I'm getting is 0x80180001 and searches for that have come up empty. I'll probably just flash something else for now (contacts come from exchange for me).

My activesync works fine with this.

Setix, this is a really nice ROM! You've done a great job here.

I know that Extendir is still experimental but someday I would like to see more system/OEM stuff installed post-flash. The real potential of this driver lies in keeping as much stuff as possible out of the windows directory and into the Extender directory. This is where I was running into trouble but I know it's possible. If I make any breakthroughs I will share with you, if you want. After all, you're a fellow Texan!
