I really dislike the dialer (WinMo standard I believe) use in the 23025 ROM, anyone have any suggestions for a different one that works well?

Question Re: 8/14/09 - ROM | Kitchen | SYS - WM 6.5 23028,21840 - Generic | All Carriers -

Love this ROM..still getting used to the different Titanium Today screen.

The only choice of keyboards seems to be compact qwerty or Finger Keyboard which doesn't have access to a numeric keypad which makes entering passwords with numbers a real challenge.
Any way to get a qwerty keyboard with a numeric keypad

I don't know of one that will work. I've heard the HTC dialers have to scroll... Anyone know?

I'm trying to get one in there, but you do know that by holding the key for a second in fingerkeyboard it types the character on top? And also if you press shift the "EN" key turns to a "123" key. It will give you a numeric keypad.

No worries - 21828 was pretty stable, huh?

THanks for the reply. I knew about holding the key and it is fine for typing normal numbers but entering passwords where the number is not shown it can be a little bit of a challenge. I didn't know about the shift EN but I changed the settings so that the EN key switches to the numeric keypad no matter the shift setting.
I also had to use sipchange.cab to make the Finger Keyboard stick as the default.

Finger Keyboard is nice but overkill for my needs. A plain vanilla qwerty keyboard is all I need.

Thanks

Hey da_reese, love your 23025 kitchen! Is there a way to add tsowens title bar icons and keep the battery drivers? You have this in your 23025 rom file but not in the kitchen. It could also be that I'm missing something. Thanks for your help!

The Tachi Dialer V2d by Mike Knoop was working pretty well in earlier builds - up through 23016. I haven't tried it with 23028. It looks nice and there are different skins available.

You can get it here: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=70574

No, I tried that, and it won't install. Thanks for the effort though.

Is there a Tachi Dialer available for this kitchen?
Also, tried cooking TF3D into the rom, but it crashed when starting.
If possible to walk through the Right settings to make it work in the kitchen thanks.
