Re: MightyROM6 -- www.MightyROM.com [Windows Phone® 6.5] [Final]

Alright its been about 2 weeks of pure frustration. I put this rom on my diamond, and as soon as i did the problems began. The list of problems i have is so long that I am to the point I just want to put a new rom on there. And that is where the true problem persist.

My usb connection works hardware wise, it can charge and windows will recognize it was generic usb mobile device when I am in boot loader. But whenever the rom loads, i get nothing, the phone is somehow missing the driver for the usb. But being a computer tech not a phone tech, i havent the slightest clue how to fix that.

I have tried the flash a new rom from the boot loader, but i have no options when in it. Just the rainbow screen and the information about my phone. I named the file DIAMIMG.nbh (nbh being hidden but u get the picture). Im trying to download another rom right now thinking maybe just that rom wasnt seen in my memory. Im saving this to my Internal Memory not my device...Is that the wrong place?

I'm frustrated beyond belief seeing as how i can barely use the phone without it being so slow i cant use it, or my programs just randomly dropping out on me.

Please help me if anyone here knows a fix for this. In the mean time, ill try and try again.

hey jewbagel,
you got it right. when flashing from internal storage, you just put it in the root of the drive (not on the phone). you named the file correctly. maybe you're not hitting the right buttons. for me, and i just double checked, it is the following combination. middle circle, back, vol down, then power. hold it until the phone comes on. it should flash rainbow for a split second, and then show you the option to flash. if you don't use the right combination, it may just bring you to the rainbow bootloader screen without any options. i'm not sure what else to say. i really hope this works for you! good luck!

Many many thanks mercado. I had gotten into the boot loader before, and i thought i had been pressing the combination you posted. But I was doing it the way the "How to" post said. Im going to try that as soon as this new rom gets done downloading. 3G sure isnt as fast as you would think it is haha.

Well I tried what was said. Unfortunately It has the gray screen flash by which says something flashes by too fast to tell, then flashes to the Security Unlocked information rainbow screen then flashes back to the gray for a split second which has Checking... written on it. Then after that it goes back to the rainbow screen of hell.

Re: MightyROM6 -- www.MightyROM.com [Windows Phone® 6.5] [Final]

Let me make sure I have all of this correct.
The current ROM I am trying to install OVER the MightyRom is the Energy Rom.
I took the file from that zip (Something like DAVEIMG.nbh) and renamed it DIAMIMG - I saved the file to the My Device \ Internal Storage folder. I tried to save the file directly under the My Device in the drop down menu but, there wasn not enough room. Just to have it in both main root folders.

I proceed to press the power button, followed by the volume down, then the <- key, then press the reset button located on the back. I keep the held down until the boot loader comes. And for the rest of what happens read the above post. Note: Is euthanasia legal yet? Because I'm to the point of signing. This is annoying.

Edit: O yeh, i have even gotten someone to help me do this. I have tried pressing every single button in every single combination when turning the device back on. Same thing every time, or it just goes into boot like regular. It took all toes, fingers, sweat and blood.

If I understand you correctly your trying to flash energy ROM and all of the ROM's from Energy already have the file named correctly wich is DIAMIMG.nbh. So you take that and place it in Internal Storage and if you don't have another file already with that name you should be golden

Ah, but you see this is where the problem resides. I have the file named DIAMIMG and whatnot. It is in my internal storage. And whenever i go to try to flash it, it says checking on the gray screen, then flickers screens and goes to the rainbow screen. I never have a prompt to be able to flash anything.

When I've had problems like that I try a different ROM but it looks like you've done that. Have you extracted the .nbh file from the shipped ROM and tried that?

Re: MightyROM6 -- www.MightyROM.com [Windows Phone® 6.5] [Final]

Did you try loading the rom with the boot loader and usb?
1-Pull out the battery and unplug the usb cable, then put the battery back in
2-Hold the down volume button
3-Press and hold the Power button until you see the tricolor boot loader screen
4-Plug in the usb cable. The bottom of the tricolor screen should switch from serial to usb.
5-Run the Custom_RUU.exe from NRGZ rom.
Good luck.

EDIT: Looks like you may have already tried this method. If so only other thing you can try is to try a different USB port on your computer.
