Re: Radios

Same process as flashing a ROM.

It will improve signal, battery life, and decrease heat.

IMO Top 3:

1) Telus(by far)
2) Sprint 1.11(I had issues, but most seem to enjoy it)
3) Verizon TP Radio(heat issues, but great signal)

Re: Radios

Sprint 1.11 did not come stock. You probably used the "Stock" exe from the post, which I believe is the leaked sprint ROM.

It will improve signal overall, and will increase EVDO speeds.

Thats tough to say, it depends a lot on how the service is in your area. Like intx mentioned some people prefer the sprint radio. I, like intx am using the telus one. I went from getting 1-2 bars to 3-4 in my house. I would ask if you need to upgrade, or change. Flashing a radio is a little more risky than a regular rom and if you are already happy with your signal strength then there is probably no reason to change it.

Re: Radios

I'm not worried about that at all. I'm very familiar with flashing and would li learn the difference in the available radios regardless. I appreciate your concern though. thank you

Re: Radios

I posted this on another thread. I just upgraded to 1.11 radio with mightyROM. I do not notice a boost in EVDO speed. But unfortunately I did not run a speed test with stock ROM and RADIO. But now I am running 2.5MB/sec download speeds. I guess that has to do with the combo of MightyROM and the new RADIO. I will try out the telus in a few days just to compare.

Re: Radios

I've seen some speed tests comparing 1.11 to Telus 1.04 and telus was getting about 200 kb/s quicker.
