to add a favorite i believe you hold down on the icon and click add to favorites. to remove a favorite hold down on it and click remove from favorites...or thats how it worked in older 6.5 builds

Where are you trying to add favorites at? You've gotten three answers for three different things lol.

I believe the way it works is you hit bottom right softkey, it pulls up your favorites, you click on all the ones you want on the home screen, go back and they are there ,you just slide thru them. Thats how I do it.

I think tersoth is referring to the start menu. You can add favorites to move icons closer to the top.
