Re: 10/2/09 # intxROM Premier # Blazing, stable, bugfree.

Just adding a bit of input to what others have said with regard to the 6.1 ROM--

I, too, get the "phone LEDs flash for a good 2 seconds before it starts to ring" thing, Vibrate+Ring used here with an MP3 ringtone.

I also have an issue with the keyboard frequently missing spaces. I suspect it's related to XT9, but I'm not 100% sure.

I don't specifically dislike the manila start menu, but I couldn't figure out how to get to the System menu from there (specifically, I like to do a clear storage after flashing a new ROM), so I had to disable it.

Battery life has been mixed, but after reading about the gsensor polling tweaks in the battery saver CAB I decided to give that a try. We'll see how it goes from there.

They work perfectly fine for me..try having a data connection active first.

Excellent ROM!
I can't stand FK, so I'm not sure on that. Opera mobile may be because manila tab might be looking for 9.5, not sure.

There is a setting in the registry, I need to find it.

Has anything been changed about that for this version of do you know a working version of MS word I can use on this ROM? thanks
I have not had a chance to test this, but afaik It should. If you haven't tried Premier, definitely go for it.

Then it's a telus thing. Sprint built ROM, gonna be some quirks sometimes. You can do the same thing that was advised as before.

Again, I've never had a call missed at all, not even close. I can recommend changing radios, or as previously suggested using the preinstalled "Disable HT C Phone Skin" cab.

You can also increase the battery polling to 60000 or so in HKLM/System/Drivers/BuiltIn/Battery

The value is PollInterval.

To access system settings, go to Settings manila tab and tap "All settings".

Hey guys,

Since some of you wanted screenshots. I took a few using shake & save. Also, will post a cab that will give you 4 across program menu in tf3d which takes advantage of some real estate. pics with this change included as well. Hope this helps

BTW, disabling the HTC phone skin did NOT help with the ringer lag whatsoever.

Re: 10/2/09 # intxROM Premier # Blazing, stable, bugfree.

There is a bit of normal ringer lag for me - but I can't say that is really that much more then any other ROM I have tried.

I know its prob been said here before but if you have ever changed any settings using a tool like diamond tweak or advanced config you need to check your [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\ConnMgr\Planner\Settings] key and make sure it's "#777". You can also tweak your SCI though EPST or see if your carrier supports changing the amount of rings before it goes to VM. Also make sure you are using a .wav ringer no longer then 20sec stored on the phone memory itself - NOT on INTERNAL STORAGE. (hint - mono files are better)

As always YMMV but I see nothing wrong with the rom as it works right now with ring lag.

Re: 10/2/09 # intxROM Premier # Blazing, stable, bugfree.

..Premier isn't 'blazing' and 'stable' for me, as a matter of fact, it's even slower than my stock rom (with registry modifications)..I'm pretty sure I did something wrong or Premier is actually worse than Fidelity (which was alot faster than it is right now for me).

I flashed from a Calk's Kitchen back to my stock rom (bell), then I flashed to premier. It was acting slow so I hard resetted (premier), but it's still laggy from time to time. And by lag I mean it doesn't respond for atleast 4 seconds.

And I can't get used to 6.1. It's impossible. I hate having to press start and then all programs all the way at the opposite end of of the screen, 6.5's start menu is amazing. Also I dont get the useful autolock or even a convenient start>lock button. Another issue is kinetic scrolling, I don't care if manila start has it, file explorer doesn't and its REALLY annoying in folders with alot of files. You HAVE to use the stylus..

Long story short, BRING BACK FIDELITY!!!

Edit: Why not bring it back along side Premier, if it IS already bugfree and fast (for others), why not start on 6.5.1?
