yes, on groove 5 I see this process in the task manager.

ok so what i am trying now is i exported the reg key where it boots sipgt_app.exe and then deleted it . did a softreset, and now i will install the KB and see if that works if it does ill just import the reg key so it boots at startup again.............figners crossed lol wish me luck

edit - LOL no go wow this is starting to be a pain!!! I dont know what is going on here lol.. I really really thought this would work!!

Still can't delete SmartTouch.dll with Total Commander. This is frustrating!

that sucks, have you tried using groove's kitchen yet? I believe the smarttouch folder is removable in the oem folder.

I actually don't know how to use a kitchen lol. I'm using a different ROM where the scroll wheel doesn't work at all, I had a feeling it was due to a corrupt or faulty smarttouch.dll file. I found one, then Trident posted up the OEM one and I wanted to replace it and alter the registry but so far no luck.

ok cool, depending on what rom you are using and whether they offer a kitchen, you can download the kitchen specific to the rom release, and open the oem folder inside and look for the particular smartouch.dll file. for example if it Juicy rom, he has a kitchen posted for juicy7 which may have a working smarttouch dll folder. honestly I am not too knowledgeable so just speculating a little

Good point, that does make sense. I need to do a hard reset because I've put so much crap on this phone trying to get rid of this .dll. Once I figure out how to delete it I'll look into it.

It's really not that tricky to use a kitche, and I have basic instructions in the kitchen post.

Using a kitchen for the first time is much like having sex for the first time. You're really not sure what you're doing, but you go with it, and then it's over before you know it. Once it's over you realize that it wasn't really all that you expected. Hopefully if you're careful though you won't incur any long term damage. Then once you get the hang of it, you just can't get enough.

I'm assuming youre talking about Juicy 8. I want to try his rom out just to see what its like, but that issue is a dealbreaker
