My battery is lasting less than 12 hours with this ROM? Is that normal or are there settings that I need to make to allow a longer battery life?

Well it depends on how much your using the phone, and what you are doing with with. But my next release will have more teaks for battery and performance, I might release it tomorrow if everything goes fine.

How long did it last with the same usage on a different or on stock ROM?

From 8 AM to about 6PM, I was at about 70% with stock. with this ROM, I'm at about 20% in the same time

Its draining pretty fast, if you want to you can try v1.5 which I just released and see how the battery life works in this one. I added more registry tweaks for battery as well.
