Oh, gotcha, that makes sense. I did read about that above, but wasn't clear what you and the ROM user were talking about. I guess cuz I hadn't really used the action screen before and then I thought that icon was for the web.

Thanks, besides that little issue and the profile text, I haven't found any other issues with this ROM. I really like your choices in terms of what programs you include and those that you leave out. I also really like the dark red color, I've done a little theme tweaking to my own liking, but the dark red really makes it look nice overall. (And it matches the back cover) Also, the task bar icons and the keyboards you've chosen are my favorites of all ROMS. So, thanks for your hardwork.

used this ROM since 1.4 and loved it very much. Upgrade to 1.5 gave me lots of headache. Phone will not pass "Diamond" Screen, Restart randomly, etc. I tried to flash TELUS stock(I'm on telus) and flash back. Not help. I gave up after 3 hrs flashing. Was thinking maybe a bad download and wanted to download and try again. Seems like 1.6 will come out soon. Wait and see how it goes.

Another thing, I notied that the program memory usage is pretty high compared to other ROMs. 60ish Mb left instead of 90ish Mb. what's there to take extra 30Mb?

Same here...It keeps Hard Resetting itself. Mystery you have done a phenomenal job and appreciate all your work...your the only ROM I use...Please help for the Hard Resetting...looking for a job and need my phone back

i cant get any of your roms to work for me =( / it wont reboot after the UC runs/ So after many hours i throw in the towl/ God only knows why my phone is being like it is / I really wanted to use your rom/ but theres nothing u can do or anyone for that matter as far getting your rom loaded on this ph/

( i will try the next release faithfully and PRAY my phone will behave/

Anyways i would like to know if its possible for me to change icons on my taskbar to the one like u have on your rom/ example : EVDO icon/ Battery icon/ etc.......
i luv those over the plain ones/

hey guys I've been on Mystery for a while now. I had the same issues with the random soft/hard resets with both 1.2 and 1.5 and spent many hours installing over and over again. Not sure why but 1.3 and 1.4 work like a charm and have never given me any trouble. If you read back a bit you'll see Mystery had some PC issues so 1.6 might be delayed just a little while. Don't give up on Mysterys ROMs, when you get them working they are awesome! Also the soft/hard reset issue is not restricted to Mystery ROMs, other ROMs I have tried(Calcu, Mike etc.) have given me the same problem. A lot of us believe it is related to a 12XXX base but it is not confirmed. So hang in there cause it is worth the 'headaches'!

"A little while" as in custom ROM terms (days) or as in Sprint/Telus terms (years)?

On Darkred 1.5, I only had trouble with getting stuck on start-up when I tried to install some new manilla tab icons from a theme I picked up over at XDA. And I'm not having the reset issue. If folks want to give Darkred a shot, you might not have these issues. You could use it in the interim until the black 1.6 is out.

Hey Dreading,
If you want to map the action screen GPS button to Google maps or whatever, open up registry editor and go to:
HKLM/Software/HTC/Biotouch/ActionScreen/button9
and set the path to /Program Files/GoogleMaps/GoogleMaps.exe or whatever you want to use for GPS software.

For the guy who wants the taskbar icons, do a google search for 'tsowentaskbar' and you will find a whole bunch of different styles. I prefer V2 myself and change it on Mysterys ROM first thing.

And lastly Mystery I notice you disable sounds for events, is this because of the annoying bleep at startup. To get rid of it you can change this in the reg:
HKCU/controlpanel/PhoneExtendFunction/CDMA/FlightModeOnOff
enable sound=0
activate event sounds and reboot and no more annoying bleep!

Thank u kindly for the info/ i take it tsowentaskbar is what mystery cooks in his roms? I do like the option of checking out other icons so this will be fun ? Thanks again!

I think i will reformat the whole phone and try another install/ i really like the darkred/ well heres to hitting my head against the wall again =)
