Unlocked Phone won't flash??

I have unlocked and flashed my phone numerous times. My wifes phone was unlocked 3 months ago, but never updated.

I tried to install a new program on hers today, and got all sorts of error writing file messages. So I figured it was due to sprints version of the ROM (yes, it is unlocked). Tried numerous times to load new ROMs, all failed w/ activesync on 2 computers. It would connect and everything looked normal, but it would hang at 0% and the give an error in the update utility. I tried entering into bootloader mode to install, it wouldn't even connect. So I even tried to flash from internal storage, and that failed - just stuck on the "loading ..." screen 15 minutes. I even tried running the diamond unlocker to no avail.

I did 2 hard resets in the process to see if it would help. The comps are running Vista and XP 64. Activesync can connect on both comps.

To make things better, PIM only reloaded 15 of the contacts from the address book, then that gets kicked out for some reason.

Any suggestions on what to do, or how to get the phone to flash? Anything would be appreciated.

Oh, I should add that the phone still boots once reset, and is operational.

First thing that comes to mind is does it say "SPL-0.57.CMONEX" on the boot loader screen? Dont take that as an insult but it will say Security Unlocked even when the phone is locked.

Second guess would be that (I know you have CDMA since you said sprint) you are trying to install a GSM rom on a CDMA phone.

Third guess is that you are trying to install a rom with unsigned spl in which case you have to use the hard spl developers edition

Anything other than that and I would need more information about what it is your doing. Hope this helps ya.

I'm having the same issue. My phone is definitely unlocked, and I'm trying to install CDMA ROMs for the Diamond only, and the Sprint stock ROM, MightyROM, and JuicyROM should all have signed SPLs, yes?

But, I get an error message when I try to connect the phone to my computer (WinXP), and get stuck on the "loading..." screen when trying to flash from the internal storage.

Has anyone else dealt with this successfully?

Need more info, What are you using to unlock? What ROM are you trying to flash to? When you do unlock, does it show the boot loader screen with the words "unlocked" and all that good stuff?
