Re: Will Any CDMA phone work on Verizon?
Welcome to Geekdom! ESN cloning is a big no-no here. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...2&postcount=68. In theory, any CDMA phone should work on VZW. It's a matter of whether or not they will activate it on their network. As for your ROM question, that is dependent in what phone you choose. For example, I cannot use a VX6800 ROM on my Treo 700WX. What phone you should go with is personal choice. Fifty different Geeks will give you 50 different answers. I've had my Treo 700WX for 18 months or so and likely hold onto it 'til it dies. On the other hand, I know there's users that couldnt wait to get rid of theirs. If you're looking for something fairly inexpensive, you can find some of the older models, i.e. VX6700, VX 6800, Treo 700WX on eBay, if you wish to go that route.

Re: Will Any CDMA phone work on Verizon?
Sorry ... i need to clarify a few things. I am currently a Verizon customer and i was wondering:
1/. Can i activate any CDMA HTC Diamond from the likes of Sprint, Alltel, etc. on the Verizon networ? 2/. What is the preferred ROM of choice for using an HTC Diamond on a Verizon network 3/. Is everything functional after a ROM flashing ... gps etc.? 4/. Do i need to contact Tech support at Verizon to add the ESN to the network (since i am allready a customer) or can i use the "remote" process utilizing the phone to register on the Network as described in a few different posts? All Help is Truly Appreciated!!! D |

Re: Will Any CDMA phone work on Verizon?
1 - you should be able to activate any cdma diamond on verizon.
2 - It's really personal preference, any diamond ROM should work fine. 3 - Search this forum, there is a lot of sprint diamond -> verizon info 4 - No, you can dial *228 option 3. Tech Support won't add ESNs to the database. Search the forum. Lots of posts on the process.
