yes, with this cab and the latest version of google maps you can click on the pinpoint button for a picture in footprints and it will open google maps with that location, then you can get directions based on your current location with gps.

Thanks, I guess when I did my google OEM, I missed a registry entry to allow that little pin to show up, re-installed and now it works fine!

Correct me if i'm wrong but if we could get this working in tf3d as a tab, wouldnt it show that you can make custom tabs for whatever you'd like.....well probably a little more complicated. but being able to add tabs is a step forward if it happens....

There are some great tabs in the bell ui that would be awesome to have on manilla

HTC Footprints, an application experience that enables people to permanently chronicle their special moments by capturing a digital postcard on their phone. Once captured, Footprints provides the ability to take notes and an audio clip of that favourite restaurant or special place while identifying its specific geographical location. In addition to identifying each postcard with its specific GPS co-ordinates, Footprints also auto-names each postcard with its general location or area.
Flipping back through their photos, HTC Touch Cruise users will be able to retrace their steps to that exact location in just a few touches. Like the idea of footprints, one thing i think that is missing would be the ability to share footprints with others.

The ability to send your postcard to someone else, then have them be able to go to where you were would be hot.

You find a hot club, you want your friends to check it out....send the footprint...DONE!

Maybe, you'll have to hit up HTC about that though.

If the information was stored within the header section of the image, then it would just be a matter of sending the image to another person. If they had Footprints installed then they would get the added information, otherwise it would just be a photo to everyone else.

And it wouldn't be hard to add the information to the image file.

you CAN create tabs and custom pages and all sorts of stuff for manilla. its just a b****. I cant remember where but somewhere on this forum was a guide about how to edit manilla files to do such things.
