(UPDATED March 3rd)HTC Footprints CAB for Diamon! Google Maps/Tomtom

I've downloaded both CABs - installed Footprints and then Google Maps. I still get the spinning windows mobile icon when I try and link a geotagged photo in Footprints back to Google Maps....and then nothing happens. The threads to date imply that the Cabs in the first post will work with Google Maps. Am I missing something ?

I still cannot install this to my storage memory! It keeps installing to device memory regardless if I choose to install to device or storage memory! Does anyone know why this is happening? Thanks in advance!

erm where exactly is the footprints cab lol. All I see is the google maps and the tom tom cabs? And when I go to the XDA link it won't let me go to the download mirror and says invalid file?

"TomTom Supported Compressed.cab" is, bizarrely, the installation file for Footprints. The Google Maps cab is just there because some sort of mapping software must be supported. The TomTom version works well with Google Maps, so that's probably why that one was posted.

You're better off reading the original thread at XDA Developers, which makes slightly more sense.

On a Diamond1 (ROM 1.93.901.3) with google maps (no tomtom), I copied "TomTom Supported Compressed.cab", I clicked on it and found Footprint installed in "multimedia" (I tryed both memories) but when I click on it (the installed Footprint)... nothing happens!! am I doing something wrong?

i have tomtom 7 installed, i installed the tomtom supported footprints cab. i want it to open google maps, not tomtom.. as of now, it opens tomtom, but does not copy destination into tomtom...
how do i get footprints to open google instead of tomtom?
