Text message not sent notification question

Ok, I have a Sprint Diamond. when I first got it and a text message failed to send I would get a notification on the home screen that a message failed to send and u would have to open the text message to see a link to resend. I flashed Juicy ROM and the verizon and tellus radios and now when a message fails I get a notification on the home screen asking if I want to resend, with yes and no soft keys. the screen sometimes doesn't respond and I have to hit the home key. also, sometimes I don't even get the notification til days later. This has been a pretty big problem for me for a while so any help would be appreciated. is this a radio issue or a ROM issue?

In case anyone else wanted to know, it's a function of the ROM. I flashed Mighty's ROM and it's back to the stock notifications...
