rstg_Diam_1.4.1

Version 1.4.1
- Add Adobe Flash Lite from ppckitchen_oem_vga...done.
- Added PIE Favorite - PPCGeeks - CDMA HTC Diamond Upgrades...done.
- Move personal alarm settings to my personal OEM...done.
- Disable xt9 predictive text...didn't make it, killed the HTC SIP's...
- Apply keyboard lag fix...done.

I had to pull 1.4 because the xt9 Hack caused the HTC soft input panels to do all numbers. So you guys can do the hack in post #23 to speed up your SIPs as long as you use TouchPal, the small keyboard, or the stock full qwerty sip.

Sorry for the 8 hour delay! :) And this afternoon I'll put up a clean rom, test that alternative Skyfire program, and see if I can trim some bulk...but this is a "loaded rom". ...Enjoy and keep that feedback comin'!

Thanks.

Honestly this is one of the best roms already! I have been running this since last night and it is stable as can be. No freezing issues I can tell like the leaked rom. I was constantly freezing on the leaked rom when in the tf photos or sprint tv tab. The display and icons are very cool, take a little time to get used to but definitely unique. Battery life has been very good as well on this rom. I paired it up with the 1.11 radio and it seems to work very well with data speeds/good voice quality.

couple things I wanted to ask you about.

*Have you considered adding java for the Opera mini fans out there. I have a pretty good vga jbed that I will attach for your review. You can change the fonts on this one to a reasonable size and it doesn't crash.
*Also, I was curious of your reason for taking out the latest opera mobile release that was in the leaked rom,was it buggy?
*I noticed a memory leak or maybe opera is not fully closing (real exit) because I start out around 34% Program memory and within a hour or so I was running up over 54%. I have a cab for this as well you like that should exit opera completely. It seemed like memory was not going back down after exiting opera. Not a big deal though unless it affects performance.
*One last thing, is flashvideobundle on 1.3 or just 1.4? I do not see it as it usually creates an "video" icon in the programs.

I was planning on trying out 1.4 but 1.3 is working great for me very well. I guess I would like to see what is included in the cleaner version as well. Honestly I dont mind the loaded up version. I still have 32 mb after loading my software but alot of people would prefer a release with more space.

Why thanks, That's the radio that I'm using too and haven't had any of the issues that I've read about.

Here is my findings when doing the same with Opera then resetting and with PIE
...........Before . After opening .... after closing
Opera: ..71.18 ..... 76.06 ............. 76.01 (memory usage)
PIE: ......69.2 ...... 72.2 ............... 71.52

So there may be something opening when these programs open. Probably when it initiates that internet connection. DotFred Taskmanager works well for this, for me, It's not a concern right now but I'll keep an eye on it...And newer opera, that's what I'm gonna test when I get off. But I'm all for stable, not newest...If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

And opera mini, I've got UC included you can add it through there. I'll look at it today, but I think the new java kills the stock sprint apps...

And flashvideobundle is not in v1.3, but is in v1.4.

Check the first post for clean version contents, pink is not included in the clean one. This rom is quick because most of the stuff I included is a seperate app and doesn't load at startup, otherwise, if the memory is there use it!

thanks for your response.

regarding the memory, I installed the opera real exit cab from Calcu and noticed that I regained 6% of memory after leaving opera so it worked! if you want this cab, I can put it up. I agree, it doesnt seem to harm anything. Thanks for the information on this.

I understand on the opera version as well, i only asked since it was part of the leaked rom. this version does work well although it renders ppcgeeks site very strange. Its all white and stripped down for some reason. it does do well however on most sites.

thats cool on mini. it is easily installed in cab form as well. this version I've used for a while and it doesnt seem to affect any of the Stock sprint apps.

cool, I think I am going to flash version 1.4 since it has flashvideobundle. the clean version is great but I dont want to lose the newer version of Sprint TV and the games, etc. for some reason, when I tried to install previously the new S tv cab it doesn't show up in programs. I was told to install the old one, then install this one over it but it only works half the time..

This release is a definite winner! Everyone should give this a try in my opinion! Thanks again.

See, I didn't know that real exit cab was available, post it and I'll see if it's worthy. And on opera mini...I don't use rom protection on my rom and is 100% compatible with my Add/Remove Programs tutorial in my sig...

ok, flashed 1.4.1 and im getting problems in opera. when i open the browser the page automaticaly swithces to landscape mode even if phone is not turned or tilted. then the phone will get major lag if i try to watch a flash video and i will have to do a soft reset to stop the lag even after i close opera. i thought since you added the flash package that opera would support flash now?? also im using the telus radio and man my phone gets really hot if i make a 10 or more minute call or use browser for about the same time. which radio are you guys using to beat the heat??

Increase this registry key for the g-sensor rotation delay:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Opera\GSensor]
"IdleTime"=dword:000000c8

Default value is 200 decimal, go up in increments of 500 and see if that helps. I set mine to a value of 1400, and it was the equivilant of approx. 4 seconds, the default value was about 1-2 seconds.

I currently have the opera that came with the leaked rom working and redoing things like the bookmarks, well, customizing it. And it seems to run well.

I've using radio 1.11.0f that came with it. I wasn't aware that different roms heated up while others didn't, I thought it was a diamond thing... Anyone want to educate me on my new device? :)

And for the flash, I don't use it so I don't know. Threw that in cause you helped me test this initially, and thanks for that. pm me or post here a link so I can make that flash work, remember, I'm a noob.
