sMMS Picture Mail Composer is a grand alternative! I'll check this out tonight as well, I think I saw a .cab that someone claimed as a side effect got rid of that lag...

I spent an hour or so yesterday trying to get FM Radio to work on the clean rom. I tried different cab's, etc. I didn't get anywhere and I'm starting to wonder if maybe the whole thing has to be cooked in, not just the drivers?

With that in mind - (a) can someone tell me if I'm wrong and they were able to get the FM Radio working on clean or if not, (b) would anyone mind having the clean ROM "dirtied" by having the FM Radio added?

For that "cooked in" answer, I too would like an answer. I'll dig into it. Did you also apply the registry entries from the OEM?

edit: My clean rom is "special" as the original drivers needed aren't in there and there is nothing that needs overwritten...

Yep, I also tried copying all the stuff from the OEM you posted. Not sure what you mean with the edit -- did the drivers not get cooked in there? Could that have been the issue?

When I cooked the rom, there are about 6 files that need to be replaced. I deleted those from my kitchen and just put them in the OEM for future reference. So those files shouldn't be in use by winmo preventing them from being overwritten, probably "the" cause why folks say they have to be cooked in. I'll have an anwser tonight.

ca. 9,481 flashes left until my device becomes a brick... I suppose I can waste 2 more for this fmradio thing... :geek:

Just wanted to let you know more about the picture mail problem, error said- does not have sufficient system permission. I took pic. mail out and tried to reinstall it but no luck. I looked at the comments about this above and just wanted to give you a more specific reason. Hope this helps

I've also seen in a couple places that sprint picmail is currently FUBAR'd...broke....eratic...

mine usually works pretty well, but yesterday and today it has not worked at all. guessing its a network issue.




the text thing....hmmm...i only use the snall keyboard and touchpal.
the bugs are:
not typing first word
not showing texts as read even when they are opened. the "highlight" thing is not on the bottom text. its above it, which i think is causing it to not show them as read even if you respond. because if you use the Dpad you can go up and down over the test, and then it shows them as read.
