When I download the full ROM and try to unrar it I get an error message: "Unexpected end of archive." I tried multiple times...just wondering if anyone else is getting this message too. Looks like a great ROM too

Quick question. I have been running 2.7.35 for a while now, and recently (last sunday) and google maps has stoppped working. It cannot detect satellites. I have reset google maps, reset the phone, etc, and it will not pick any satellites. Anyone else having this problem. I also keep getting prompted to upgrade google maps but when i try it gives me a connection failure.

Any suggestions? I dont want to update the rom because i dont trust PIM backup and I dont want to lose my texts.

Thats a bold statement. I'm have used PIM for over three years now. From my apache to my vogue to my diamond and it has never... that's right, never failed me.

Further Proof of PIM...

+1 for that. PIM Backup failed me once. I had a diamond and restored it to \my documents... After I flashed, my backup file was gone! Of course it that was because of user error. lol... I guess once out a thousand or so flashes isn't bad!!

I think it's more a factor that I am probably not using it right. When I run it gives me atleast three red X's that say error so I just don't want to risk it.

Ok before it was connected to my computer when i was getting the failures. I ran it again just now without connecting it and seemed to go through just fine. Im going to upgrade to the new ROM and see if it fixes my gps.

Good luck, and make sure your backup file is saved to the internal storage, as well as maybe email it to yourself in case you get the "missing internal storage" problem. :)

I had PIM fail me only the first time. Just be really patient and do NOT touch it and you're good.
