Programs installed to internal storage stay when reflashing?

If I install programs and tweaks and stuff through cab files to internal storage and then flash my ROM, will those files still be installed or will I need to re-run the cab files once it's reflashed? It's just getting annoying having to re-configure things the way I want every time I try out a new version of a ROM.

yes, they stay in there. however, u may still needs to reinstall them as some of the files/settings were installed in the memory which have been deleted during the flash. ur best bet is to install a backup software, eg. spb backup, to backup up all ur settings/programs.

I use SPB backup and Sashimi. When I flash a new rom. I run those two programs and my phone is back to how it was before which is ALOT of work to do without it. Sashimi takes a little while to set up but is easier than UC imo and works great!

The files will stay, but all the registry entries will be gone and shortcuts will be gone. Exceptionlly few programs installed from cab do not need to be reinstalled upon flashing/hard reset.

Sashimi and tautoinstall are both better than UC for first boot .cab installation. They both have their pluses - use whichever floats your boat better.
