Re: What will I be sacrificing by using Juicy's ROM?
NO.
Messaging (text and e-mail) is handled by an application called "tmail" not outlook. So I will assume you are talking about tmail. As smokingjoe mentioned, the multi select is still available there, just not in fexplorer (file explorer). |

Re: What will I be sacrificing by using Juicy's ROM?
Just to re-itterate on that concept.
You Juicy users might wanna add this reg tweak to get your fexplorer to work with multi select: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Gestures\Touch] "disabled"=dword:1 |
This post has been thanked 2 times. |

Juicy, maybe you should add this to your thread now, and then incorporate into your next rom? The reg tweak definitely works.

sigh... although this may be news to some (and for that thank you for sharing with those user mike), but as you mentioned, tobey was the first person to find the effects of this regedit. No I did not miss it. No I did not overlook it. It is deliberately left out. If you search the forum I have already stated that I have chosen to use MS' newly implemented touch gestures. Disabling it restores multi select in file explorer, but disables the smoother scrolling gestures. Once again I have chosen to pursue the smoother scrolling gesture than continue with the multi-select. /end rant |

I feel It's a very important feature (especially to those who are always cutting and pasting several files at a time, and moving stuff around. Without a removable storage card, it happens quite often) that saves a lot of time and makes the rom user a lot more productive. To me, being more productive, thats a lot more important than something aesthetic as being able to scroll more smoothly (especially since it's not even noticeable to me). Just my .02 /end rant |
