Re: [12-18-08] Juicy ROM 4.3 [SYS OS 5.2.20764 Build 20764.1.4.3] [UC]
Still no glitches with this ROM. I guess maybe I'm just lucky, but I have not experienced any of the problems that others are mentioning. My wife also has a diamond and I just flashed her over to 4.3 so I'll have to running devices to test.
Oh I guess I did run into one thing. The first time I logged onto Sprint Navi it took forever (2 mins +) to get a gps lock. This is a tight little ROM. The speed is obviously the big perk, but think we shouldn't down play the stability either. If there is anything that might make this ROM better and I think "better" is somewhat subjective, it would be changing out to the TF3D from the HD and Dialer from the Opal/Jade. Not sure else what I would really like to see. Thanks Juicy!

Working pretty much perfect for me. A couple glitches I had in 3.9 are no longer there. I miss multi select sometimes but no big deal.

The battery life is wonderful. Used the heck out of it today and it's still high. Just wanted to say.

Sorry if this has already been addressed, but after installing 4.3 on my Sprint Diamond, my backlight comes on randomly at times and stays on until I shut it off. I can't really tell what's causing this, but I think it does it when it checks my mailboxes. Going back to the stock ROM fixed the problem. Besides that everything is great!

Re: [12-18-08] Juicy ROM 4.3 [SYS OS 5.2.20764 Build 20764.1.4.3] [UC]
4.3 works great, however it seems to be using up a lot of my memory. Before I used to start out with 32% - 37%. Now it jumps upto 45% and when I start large applications like TomTom I get the "Not enough memory" error. Anyone else have this problem?
Thanks |

It does startup with a bit more memory usage (about 5% or so for me) but I haven't run out of memory yet. I just loaded 3 opera tabs, running music from tf3d, palringo running, google maps, kinoma play, and tomtom. Running fine still. Can't imagine tomtom using up over 100mb of memory though.

1) XIP structure 2) pagepool 3) cache a few % difference in what is available doesnt bother me if the speed is better, but TT should not error out like that. Can anyone else confirm? I don't have it and thus can't test |

Did you hard reset after you installed 4.3? That usually fixes weird issues. If so, then maybe You should try removing your programs from the internal storage, and installing them on the internal storage. Also check to make sure there are no other programs running before trying to run tomtom. I do notice after using the phone for a day or two, that there is a very small memory leak (memory usage increases slightly for no reason, a native WM issue and not Juicy's fault), but a soft reset fixes that. I soft reset everyday anyways for good measure so it's not a problem for me. Hope my thoughts help some.
