Re: [12-18-08] Juicy ROM 4.3 [SYS OS 5.2.20764 Build 20764.1.4.3] [UC]

switch flip clock to normal black letters with white background? I installed a cab to get neon buttons, but it also changed the clock to neon. How do I turn this off or uninstall?

Also wondering if a hard reset is supposed to erase all of the internal storage card as well as main memory? I have to use the 1234 method in clear storage. I try the power, vol down, center button, and soft reset, but i get the screen that comes up when a new rom installs.

Thank you for the post, the radio update cab seems to include a ROM flash as well, is there anyway to update the radio independent of the ROM? I posted this question on the radio thread but got no answer. My current telus radio is 0.99.90V.

No, it should not erase internal storage.

Try this EXACTLY to Hard Reset:
1. Turn off Phone (Make sure it's not connected to anything)
2. Press and Hold Down Volume Down (Keep holding down)
3. Press and Hold Down Center Button (Keep holding down w/ Vol Down)
4. Press and Hold Down Power Button and other two buttons for three seconds.

You should see a screen that tells you to press "Vol Up" to hard reset. Then just follow the instructions.

NO NEED FOR 3rd ARM. SOFT RESET BUTTON IS NOT REQUIRED. THIS HAS BEEN VERIFIED BY ME, AND MANY OTHERS.

Is anybody else still having that old problem of the first letter not appearing when entering text or is it just me? Specifically when using the Compact QWERTY and T9 enabled?

I still have it, but no big deal for me. ROM is great. Great job Juicy, definitely appreciate all your hard work.

Same question here, I have version 0.99.90V. I got a message from Telus saying to dial *22803 and update the roaming list, but it always says the programming was unsuccessful. Im using Juicy 3.5 now, gonna be updating to 4.3. Does the new ROM include the radio update? If not, how do I go about installing it?
Any help would be appreciated!

Back during 4.0 and 4.2 the GPS works fine...
Now updated to 4.3, GPS no longer working on my phone...I hard-reset once after installing new firmware...any solution? another reset? Thanks...

Also, any solution to QuickGPS unable to connect yet? I can update weather, browse with opera, download stuff in TomTom...but QuickGPS just refuse to connect...

yes. this rom update is just the radio rom update. There are two roms, one that is for the radio which is the one I posted and one for the actual rom that runs the device. They are independent although they are setup the same way to flash. so as I mentioned, the telus radio rom update will only update your radio rom, it will then soft reset the phone and you will be good to go. However, if you flash the stock sprint radio 1.00.00f or the leaked sprint tp 1.00.04f or the verizon leaked radio, they will also hard reset your phone after the radio rom installs. not to confuse you but 1.03.15f and the newest telus radio rom 1.04.05v will not hard reset your phone, the other 3 will. Does this makes sense because I think i confused myself haha.

Juicy my apologies for putting this in your thread. we should move this to the radio sticky.

I generally have to start a connection first (IE or OperaMobile) and then QuickGPS has no problem downloading what it needs to.
