I would like to request, please, version .22 of PCM Keyboard in OEM form.

I would like to work on some layouts for this version, as the skinning method is diferent than .14 and prefer to install it as an OEM.

If possible, thanks in advance.

Thanks, I really appreciate it. Working on trying to find a VGA keyboard for this version, then will start working on some layouts.

Just wondering if there is a cab file for the Flip-It program? I can only seem to find this program installed with certain roms. I would like to start building my own and would like a seperate file just for the FlipIt... So is there a cab for it?

This is from Calkulin's Kitchen. I take absolutely no credit for this OEM.

I highly recommend Calkulin's Kitchen. It is great.

*edit* This is an OEM not a cab, btw.

I spent most of the day working on these PCM keyboard version .22 themes based on the default Dream2 theme included in the OEM made by rstoyguy above.

The attached screenshots are taken from the same SIP. The new version of PCM makes it possible for you to have more than one size keyboard all in the same SIP. The size can be changed by simply changing the input setting from medium to small or large, and soft resetting your phone.

The layout I used is based on a custom layout I made for PCM .14 and have used for some time.

These are preview screenshots. The formatting in landscape needs a bit more work. I also plan to change the appearance of the theme some once the basic layouts and formatting is complete. If there is any interest in this, I will post them when they are complete.

The customizing of this keyboard is tedious but quite easy once you learn the system. Anyone can do it.

Thanks again, rstoyguy, for the OEM.

lol... actually it just needs a little resizing on the numeric landscape layout (not pictured). Shouldn't be long before I can post some good stuff. My brain is fried though, so I'm taking a break. :)

WOW...NICE!
I am very interested in this project. I have tried a few different SIPs, but I tend to always go back to the HTC version. PCM was always nice, but .14 always gave me issues....
Anyway to get the hold for number function in on these layouts like the HTC?

It is possible but I haven't messed with it yet. The hold for caps lock does work in the theme you see above.

There hasn't been much customizing going on for the post .14 versions, but coming from a long-time .14 user, I can tell you that this keyboard, coupled with the newest version of touch response is very freaking sweet IMO.

I have fixed the landscape modes for my PCM Keyboard .22 layout/theme. It is running nicely on my phone, so instead of doing further testing on my own, I figure I will let anyone who is interested get started.

Please understand that the person who made the Dream 2 theme that came with the OEM posted by rstoyguy did most of the work... I just enhanced/modified the theme and layout until I thought it was more usable. Please feel free to rip this thing apart and do further customization... please share your results.

I recommend using the newest Touch Response for vibration feedback even thought PCM now has vibration built in.

I have been getting best results installing this along with a cab and SIP changer. Perhaps it needs to be repacked with the OEM for best results? Just drop it in the PCM folder and select the theme in input options (soft reset to change themes).

Here is a link to PCM Keyboard website if you want to dl the cab.
http://pocketcm.com/keyboardnew.php

Keyboard size can be selected in the input options... for some reason you have to select it twice... and then requires a soft reset.

I plan to keep working on it. Feedback is appreciated. Thanks again, rstoyguy.

I was wondering why nothing changes when I selected "big", thanks for the tip. I'll give your theme a shot..

If anyone does happen to be using the keyboard theme above, I would like to change my previous recommendation to use Touch Response instead of the built-in vibration. Touch Response seems to have problems when typing in landscape on it.

Wow... that was fast. You are the man.

I want to check into the skinning process of this one as well. :)

May or may not do anything with it.

*edit* skinning for full screen keyboard is very poorly documented so unless I find some good docs I'm not going to mess with it.

I thought I'd share my version of Opera with a few more tweaks than normal:

OEM_Opera_v9.5_Build_15306........................... Opera v9.5 build 15306 (OEM Notes) (from sprint leaked rom)

OEM Notes:
- Tweaks included in OEM:
-- Add tweak to fully exit Opera
-- Add tweak so ppcgeeks.com shows on internet tab in TF3D
-- Add tweak so Opera opens Internet Favorites in registry. They show up in QuickMenu's "Start Menu-Favorites"
-- Changed GSensor Idle time to 1400 (default 200)
-- Full install file associations included

- Setup Information/Tweaks (once you have it set-up)
-- Save TF3D Internet Tab Favorites
--- Copy \windows\Opera9\Opera6.adr to the OEM
---- The included file has PPCGeeks, FaceBook, and MySpace.

-- Save personal Cookie information
--- Copy \Windows\Opera9\cookies4.dat to the OEM (not included) I keep this in a seperate OEM I include my personal roms. This saves my log in information and logs me in automatically to ppcgeeks and several other websites after every flash.

http://i483.photobucket.com/albums/r...yguy/dia_5.jpg

* Note: You need to open Opera after flashing, then these links will go directly to opera instead of PIE.

Any chance of getting an OEM (or a CAB) of the TouchHD "People" TF3D tab?
Barring that, I'd take the whole package- but I'd prefer just that page/tab.

Incidentally, the changelog says the landscape problem I mentioned above is fixed.

Here is tsowens Custom Taskbar icons:

OEM_tsowens_taskbar_VGA_icons........................... tsowens Taskbar Icons VGA (OEM Notes)

OEM Notes:
- This OEM is designed to be "portable" from rom to rom.
-- No need to worry about duplicate files.
-- The OEM automatically overwrites the system files with the new ones on post-flash setup. (Causes gguruusa to have a heart mur-murrrr. :) )
-- For those worried about "space", rename the files inside the OEM and remove the "002-" from the 9 filenames.
- Works with *ANY* kitchen.

- This one OEM has all the components needed.
- Works with Diamond and Touch Pro
- Included screen shot so I don't have to explain what ya get:

http://i483.photobucket.com/albums/r...een01icons.jpg

Enjoy! And link posted in the top of this post to the original thread so you can give the author some Geek-love and pound his Thanks button! :)

This thread is for OEM files that you bake directly into your custom rom. They don't install like a cab file.

I used your tsowen icons in calcu's kitchen and everything was smooth, but the start menu icon didn't change. I was wondering if I did something wrong or if I could do something different so it would change when I build the next time.

Try renaming the file inside the OEM and remove the "002-" prefix. You'll have to manage the duplicates for buildos, but it would be something to try. I know in build 20764, the files are loaded by the SYS yet and can be overwritten. Could be in your SYS the files are loaded up earlier, and if their "loaded" they won't copy correctly. If your using own icons, make sure you sign the dll. I still haven't read the thread, but that oem works for me. I'll be playing with it more tonight customizing my rom icons.

Oh, all of the other icons loaded fine. I am definately not complaining. You always do a great job and my phone wouldn't be anything without you!

I'm going to mess with it today and I'll see if I can figure it out. I'm more of a reader and button pusher, but I'm getting better.

The first graphic must be flashed, after that.... Check out post #3, zzz_my_files_oem or something like that. Changes most of the boot setup screens when aligning stylus/email/etc... and the second splash screen. I'm not a fan of green on my ppc! I check out the initflashfiles.txt to see how I manipulate them!

This is portable like my icons oem, it overwrites the ones in the rom. I've already included the VGA files for a darker theme that overwrites the standard green.

If I just want it to overwrite one of the files in the OEM, can I do this by editing the txt file? I have a VGA file I photoshopped and want to use to replace the standard green. Can I edit the txt file to just replace this one and not the animated gif, volume, etc?
