Yes you can either overwrite a file in the oem or edit the initflashfiles entry. edit the second filename in each entry. The first filename is the output filename...

Does anyone have this OEM.. I tried the Link and its not working anymore on RapidShare, Or maybe someone that does have it could upload it to Megaupload or Rapidshare again.

I would like to request an OEM for the VGA HTC Footprints app (TomTom supported version) found here:

there are new HDmanila's available, check out calkulin's kitchen thread (http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=44494) and pull one of the two in addition to the HD manila base files

*i'm currently uploading the original manilaHD i had posted now - http://rapidshare.com/files/194236555/Manila_HD_OEM.rar

that is the original manilaHD that had the startup issues (have to switch to contact, open the keyboard, go back to today screen, tap to launch, but quickly switch over to contacts w/the keyboard open to launch; crashes @ midnight, etc.) the new HD manila's being released are a little better i think.

Not with an OEM, the SYS can't access internal storage at that stage. You could install to the storage card, then maticiously modify the OEM so that only the program links, necessary files that get installed to \windows, and registry edits get installed. The main bulk of the files could be deleted then. I was gonna explore that option with that mega-arcade pack I found that's 15 megs...When I get some time.

- Touch response is disabled, this is how I run it so users can activate it if they want.
- To turn it on, edit the RGU:

I use Ervias's Package Creator for most of my work. I will also on ocassion use OEMIzer provided with ppckitchen for creating OEM's for program themes, icon packs etc. I find it usefull when needing to add multiple files to a directory other than \windows.

For those not wanting to flash a rom, and install some of these OEM's...Here is a treat!
First I'd like to release a version of neupackageinstaller.zip

neupackageinstaller.zip for non-Flashers...

This archive contains two files.
1. Copy these to \My Documents on your device. They must be in the same directory!
2. Take the OEM you want to install, make it a .zip archive and copy it to the \My Documents directory.
3. Use your favorite file explorer and launch neupackageinstaller.exe.

Note: This is No2Chem's baby, I made the files available for those wanting to use my OEM's and don't want to flash! :smile: Pay omage to no2chem, he helped pave the way for us!

I have only extracted the files needed from the original OEM to unzip on your device for those that don't have it. Get the OEM from ppckitchen.org...

I might just be looking in all the wrong places but ppckitcgen.org doesnt have half the oem you've posted. Actually I really dont see any of them.

Yes, this thread was initially started in the vogue section to supplement ppckitchen's BuildOs OEM selection. Turns out with the Diamond and TPro several nice folks released a kitchen for the devices. These OEM's will work fine with their kitchens too. So this thread is designed to get you the latest version of the OEM's in those kitchens. There are too many programs out there....Why settle for the choices the Kitchen authors have provided? Demand more! :geek:

Can I get an OEM for volume control? I got it from XDA it it works well with the updated YouTube from the HD. If you need the link to the XDA thread I can dig it up for you.

haven't had a chance to test it, but give this a try

So, here is my question ... and I could be being a total idiot on this ... but can I swap out the volume control dlls from this OEM to the tsowns taskbar oem so that I keep this volume control with those icons? I had the taskbar, then added the volume contol cab which messed up the volume icon. So, then I re-installed the taskbar cab and it broke the volume control so bad my phone locked up.

Am i explaining this well enough?

not exactly sure on the answer to that question, looking at the 002-htcvolumecontrol.dll (from tsowens) vs. htcvolumecontrol.dll (whc) in windiff shows the files do have some differences...

guess it's worth a shot, worst case scenario is that it doesn't work and you'll have to flash again ;)

So, maybe I sould pull apart the dlls first and take a look. I promised my husband I wouldn't flash for 1 week after this next week, so I kind of want to be a little closer to sure ... or I'll just stick with the white icons.

Depends on which version of volumecontrol you have. I suppose somewhere along the lines they'd upgrade the code. How about re-inserting the image into the new one and signing it? tsowen could help ya with that in a jiffy. pending availability of course...

how exactly do i install these? i unpack the .rar and it has all everything all clumped in one directory...and the readme isn't exactly informative. thanks in advance!

*edit - i'm referring to the game packs btw.
