It's in there, Go to SETTING--->SYSTEM--->TOUCHFLOW and check Enable Large Start menu

OMJ, i dunno if this was luck of the draw, but did you edit the registry so that the screen stays on during a phone call? i think i noticed this in the last rom and i LIKED IT!

Ok, so something in this ROM is messing with my Volume UP/DOWN buttons that they don't work properly. I'm going to try another ROM to see if this issue still exists.

UPDATE: So after updating to MSR 2.7 my volume up/down buttons work. Something in this OMJ's rom that is causing my volume up/down buttons to not work. I'm not sure what it is but it is causing this issue. I would not know where to look first to figure out what is the cause.

One this end, Volume Up/DOWN buttons works fine. Here's a few things I noted.

1. Large Start Menue only works time to time. sometime it switch back to start menu.

2. In AllPrograms tap, there's multiple programs showing twin. i e, theres two Totalcommands icons and two Opera icons.

3. Opera is in some kind of "mobile/lite" mode. It's unusable. (Interesting, flash back to v3 and Opera still in the same mode) Alright, I guess it's PPCGEEKS.COM. other side works fine.


For now, I'm going back to previous version. Due to Opera is unusable.

I think what you're experiencing is to different menus....when you press the windows logo, you get the QuickMenu, when you press the word Start, you get the stock start menu.

I've only set the "turn off device if not used for" after 1 min. even though you're on a call, if u hit no buttons or the screen, it will turn off after 1 min.

I guess your phone just doesnt like my rom, lol.....my volume up/down still work as they should.

1. if i enable large start menu, i get it every time....see my post above about QuickMenu.

2. where are you seeing 2 icons in the programs folder? I did add total cmdr, opera, internet sharing & screen capture to the actual start menu, but u shouldnt see duplicate icons in the programs folder......I know I dont. *EDIT* oh, now I see what you're referring to, the "all programs" soft key in the manilla 3d program widget.....well, those would be from the added shortcuts I placed on the start menu.....I suppose I could remove the shortcuts from the programs folders, if i have them on the start menu.

3. not sure what you're experiencing but Opera is working fine here, nothing was changed from v3 except for fixing the shortcut.

maybe a bad flash......if others have these same issues, i'll re-upload, as my phone is running superb!!!

The only thing I have noticed are the duplicate icons. I don't have any of the other issues people have mentioned. There is one odd thing though, I changed my theme using tf3d config and now my weather database editor does not work. I can open the program but no country loads in the title bar. When I select edit it gives me the option to add or delete a city but nothing happens when I chose either option.

files 2330fc3c_manila & _2330fc3c_manila may have been overwritten w/ the theme change. you can try copy them over manually to \windows.

outlook also has it's own text size....when viewing an email, menu/view/text size

for those using my v4, are you seeing any improvement in battery life?

I seem to be getting MUCH better battery life w/ v4....I'm guessing it's due to the newer version of TouchFLO 3d, as it's the main offender of battery drain.

will be flashing your v4 now. one question I asked earlier but wasn't sure about. does this rom have the large title bar or just the large start menu? not a big deal but was curious. I am definitely interested in getting improved battery life which you commented on. I will post back results as well. Have a good day.

Just installed last night with no real problems ... thank you.

I do have a request. Is there anyway to get the Windows native Today item for the Tasks summary displayed on the Home tab? I'm using Second Today but would prefer to have it just under the Calendar summary.

Battery life definitely better than previous versions but still not as good as the Juicy's Roms. After it's fully charged and unplugged it goes down to 90% after about 1 minute or so with just the screen on with little to no use. Juicy's Roms are better on battery life, much better, but I prefer your Roms as it stays true to the Sprint OEM one. I've always like your Touch Roms and I will be using your Diamond Roms. Keep up the good work. Thanks.

it definitely has the large start menu, I don't see large title bar, but I dont recall it being in the stock....was it? it does have the system status feature, but I have it turned off by default.

i'm sure theres a cab for large title bar somewhere

yeah, that is because it's scans both the programs folder and start menu. typically when you go into the menu app and move a program to the start menu, it removes that app from the programs folder, but when i made the rom, I put the shortcut in both programs & start menu not realizing the "all programs" on M3D scans both.

I have not seen that as a possibility, I believe you have to use 2nd today.....if u know of a thread that states otherwise, let me know.

not sure what Juicy does for better battery life....I have seen the posts comparing juicys & mighty, and I thought juicy said he wasnt doing anything special.

one thing i've noticed, even though you close a program/app/window, if you go into dot fred task mgr & look at the process' running, there may be a process running from that closed app....I have been manually terminating those process'.

I've been getting the screen lock coming up. The screen dims and the soft key says Unlock and after pressing it, it goes to a second screen where again you have to press Unlock. This has just been recent.

I have the Settings/Personal lock unchecked
I have Settings/System key lock set to Do Not Lock Buttons

Is there a way to disable this? I have no reason for the device to ever lock.

look in Settings/System/Device Lock.....by default, it should be set to "suspend device", meaning when u run the app in program files/utilities/device lock (which I see now the shortcut is missing, lol), the device will suspend. I always change the device lock option to "lock on wake"....check to see what it is set for, if u set it to "suspend device" it should only lock if u run the app.

Hi, diamond noob here...So what I wanna know, if I flash this...how well does touchpal work? And am I gonna have to make my own vga OEM? :) (first on my agenda)

I just wanted to welcome myself to the diamond arena, (actually wednesday or so) and since I know omj takes pride in his roms, I'll be sportin' this rom until I get into my own together and rip out that 3d stuff...

Attached are updated D3D (graphic) drivers, courtesy of Conflipper, thx bro!....I'll include in my next release, but if anyone wants to give it a try, it seems to speed up TouchFLO even more!

Great ROM, OMJ....I knew that I wouldn't be disappointed. I'm still a little uncomfortable with 3d, but coming along. Any chance you and Rstoyguy might put together a non-manila project for our Diamonds? Thanks again for all your work.

Second on my list, I want to run the stock for a couple days so I can see what needs improved and familiarize myself with a vga device...how about in a week or so.

Post #1 does have 3 pics. But since I'm at work, my websense filters out those pictures and all I have is three little dots. They're there...

And got my phone and loving it! Stock rom sorta sucked so I went ahead and flashed v4. Great so far! Now to hammer out that Mass Storage Cannot Be Accessed doo-hickey...Is the HTC Hotfix for that in your rom?

Hi OMJ, I decided to go ahead and try your latest ROM to see if my volume up/down issue was fixed. After uploading your latest ROM everything works! I'm not sure what changed, but my issue with the volume up/down keys is resolved. Thanks!

I am in the process of downloading your new version. I needed the Sprint Music Store, and your ROM works great.

I would like to thank you, and all the other folks who spend so much time in cooking these ROMs. Those of us who have a bit of understanding (and those who have none) are truly impressed by not only your knowledge, but your patience with those of us who seem to lack, at times, a basic understanding of what it takes to put these ROMs together.
