Yes ,you have to unlock your device to run a new rom. Go to the top of page on cdma upgrades and read the stickies ,there are very good instructions on how to do this process.

Hi, I flashed .05 and was not able to use Audible because Audible didn't recognize my phone as an activated device (which is a little weird since I had it installed on internal storage). So, I reinstalled Audible player and AudibleAir, but now I have the problem of Audible player only showing as really tiny in the upper left corner. I have the same issue with the MP3 trimmer that came on the device. Juggalo, did you ever figure out what causes this with some programs?

Very impressive; I'm eager to try it. BUT my HTC TD is still on the multi-coloured "Security Unlocked" page for over 40 minutes now. I did not find instructions, so I unzipped your rar file and copied RUU to my phone and ran the Enterbootloader.exe file. Have I made an irreparable mistake? Thanks.

you need to run it from your computer with your phone connected.

BUT, I've run it 3 times, each time stops for Communication Error; then I go through Recovery, which in rebot brings back the phone to the old ROM and I run again, getting the same error. What am I missing?

OK, I unlocked; loaded the ROM; the new screen came up; said, tap the screen to etc. now it's stuck on Algin Screen. re-booting doesn't help.

If you can not align it with stylus (not finger),then best bet would be reflash stock rom from unlocking tread,it must corect some missing files or so.When you get evrything working well in stock,you follow direct steps from unlocking tread,unlock it and go ahead to flash with anything custom...
