Re: nueROM-S / nueROM-M Diamond

I also want to thank you for all the work.

Small Bug: In the communications manager, the text is black on a blue background. Virtually unreadable.

Also: In the new Internet Explorer, the web pages show up so small that they are very difficult to read. Zoom seems to be limited to full page view, so you cannot zoom in to a section of a page to make it more readable.

--------
Currently on version 188

Re: nueROM-S / nueROM-M Diamond

First off, Im sooooo glad No2Chem decided to get a Diamond(or Touch Pro, not actually sure)!!!!

OK.

1. Im having the same touchflo issues that others are having. NOT in manila, but in other apps that use touchflo for scrolling. I have to tap and hold on the screen, then move my finger to get it to scroll. Hopefully this is just a registry setting and not a 20931, AKU 1.5.0 thing.

2. Has anyone else noticed how smoooooth the scroll and zoom is in opera mobile? Its REALLY improved in this rom. Did No2Chem add some better video drivers? Or is this because of the 20931 SYS?

3. The new version PIE looked really promising, but I've had it crash and slow down on a bunch of sites. And text input seems to require the stylus to work properly. Im sure this has nothing to do with this rom, just a buggy app.

All in all this rom seems very stable and really fast. Not at all suprised considering who put it out!!!! Thanks No2Chem.

Re: nueROM-S / nueROM-M Diamond

Ok reporting in with my observations:

System seem fast so far, much faster than the build 171. I have missed two calls today, they went right into voice mail while here at the house. This has never happened before either with the Diamond or the Mogul with No2Chems ROMS. I may try the 1.03 radio, I switched off that early with the Diamond for some reason I cannot remember.

Also, the comm manager black letters on blue background is not so nice. I am sure you are going to fix the TouchFlo 3D scroll issues eventually, for now I am using the scroll bars.

Love your fast roll out to the latest and greatest. Keep feeding our addiction!

Question, No2, are you having any problems with the Pro like the others are reporting? Been thinking moving to the pro eventually, but may wait until the first batch problem phones have made their way through the system..

Re: nueROM-S / nueROM-M Diamond

Just thought I'd post about my experiences with the latest ROM. I installed version 188 tonight. It's MUCH better than the first version. It's very responsive and I did not notice any stuttering. I love the FM radio. The phone actually feels more responsive than when I was running the stock ROM from Sprint.

The only downside is that I can't seem to get it to switch to the full qwerty keyboard. No matter what I do it stays in compact qwerty mode. I'm going to Start --> Settings --> Input and selecting "full qwerty" from the drop down but when I navigate away or reboot it keeps going back to compact. Is anyone else having this problem?

Otherwise this is a GREAT ROM. Thanks no2chem!

try clicking the "arrow" right beside the keyboard button while typing a message or something. that'll bring out the keyboard options!

That worked. I still don't know why the setting wasn't retained when configured from the "Settings" menu but then again, I don't really care as long as the functionality is there. Now I'm very happy with this ROM. The phone is blazing fast now.

Re: nueROM-S / nueROM-M Diamond

not Diamond related per se but still bodes well for us soon...

New IE 6 Mobile works.. decently

November 13, 2008 02:39 by no2chem

I guess Microsoft finally realized it was time to update that crappy browser they called IE mobile, and now it plays flash/AJAX just fine, although as you can tell, it is pretty useless on this QVGA device. Although, the fact that it IS running on a QVGA device should clue you in on an update for something…. soon.
