Re: 12/21/08 Conflippers Alltel UC ROM (5.2.20759 Build 20759)

Stripped ROM's are nice to try stuff out. A ROM that is created by a an experienced user with essential programs and tweaks is nicer. Having the phone all ready to go after a hard reset...Priceless! I agree with needing the optimal performance out of the device, but this device has so much memory that having additional software doesn't affect the performance of the phone. If we let Con know what we want, and don't want, I believe he can create a ROM that makes him happy and the rest of us happy. The more input we give him, as his testers, the better he can diagnose the issue's and resolve them. I've stated it before, "If Con didn't make such an awesome ROM I would have to make one for myself", and I appreciate the massive amount of time he has put into his ROM's especially when he works making oatmeal all week long.

+1

I'm using the 12/22 ROM, and I don't see one thing wrong with it. Yeah, maybe there's some more in depth things here or there that can be tweaked, but usability wise, it's perfect. I think Con should keep on doing exactly what he's doing. I like the software that he includes on the ROMs and I don't think you should change that either, they don't take up much space.

Other than that, for the next ROM, just a new Opera I guess, and of course, all of the little tweaks you do that we don't know about lol.

give this a shot, new opera 15233 converted to VGA.

does not support Gsensor
Scrool wheel does not zoom in

but i feel like it is still a very strong build.

con, just switched from juicy's ROM, and I am loving yours.

I am a current alltel user, and I have been using Juicy's for over 4 months. I have seriously been missing out!
keep up the AMAZING work con!

On that Opera Build 15233. Do we need to install the D3D drivers and Flashlite? Or Just Opera

flash was not included in that diamond rom, D3d drivers, some say it works better, some say it dont, i guess it all depends on who you are.

the opera has some flaws, but it is also a good build.

Parkman, i am glad to see you decided to give it a shot, and i am glad you are liking it so far.

Can't say we didn't tell you so! lol

Con, just wondering, what exactly wrong with the Opera included on your most recent ROM (12-22). What was wrong with the Opera that shipped with the phone? Just not as "new & good" as a more current Opera? I'm just asking because it seems that there's always complaints about the newer Operas, yet I never saw a problem with the one that shipped with the diamond.
