Re: 2/26/09 Conflippers UC ROM (5.2.21018 Build 21018)

I have been using this ROM for about a week and have noticed a few issues myself that I was wondering if anyone has found a correction for.

1. When I installed, I selected -5 Eastern US time zone and again selected this after the hard reset. No matter what I do, the phone keeps changing the timezone back to -4 central. The DST is off, I have tried resetting the roaming on the phone, to no avail.

2. I have tried over and over to change the start menu to small using the settings>touchflo but any time the phone is turned off or resets, it goes back to the large start menu.

3. In hotmail, with the alltel stock ROM, you can select multiple emails by dragging your finger across the emails, this is not the case on this ROM.

4. I too, have the issue with the photos auto rotating to landscape when I flip the phone, but then 2-3 seconds later it rotates back while the phone is still in landscape. I tried deleting the registry entry as mentioned previously, to no avail.

5. I initially tried the opera browser with the ROM and later hard reset and installed the alltel stock opera browser. For some reason, neither can access the Bank of America mobile site due to security restrictions. This was not the case with the Stock Alltel ROM. Has anyone else had this issue and is there a way to fix it?

Thank you in advance to anyone that can help with any of these issues. Otherwise, the ROM seems very good.

The finger dragging to select multiple contacts is not in the newer builds of Windows Mobile for some reason....

I am also having an issue with time zone. I am located in Central and it keeps reverting back to Eastern The problem just started on Mon. I have hard reseted 5 times. Since I purchase the Diamond on Feb 5th I was able to exchanged in store today. As of an hour ago, I reloaded this rom and same issue. Keeps reverting to Eastern time zone. Any ideas on a fix?

Maybe you and I should switch Diamonds since our phones are reverting to each other's time zones ;-).

Does the new update also fix the large start menu issue (reverting back to this on soft reset), and the camera issue with the photos always saving in portrait and rotating back to portrait when the phone is turned to landscape view after a few seconds of landscape viewing?
