Re: 12/21/08 Conflippers Alltel UC ROM (5.2.20759 Build 20759)
I was really just hoping for the small fixes to the last one you released, seemed rock solid... with Opera, etc fixed.

Re: 12/21/08 Conflippers Alltel UC ROM (5.2.20759 Build 20759)
1) better opera (i am sure you will get this one done!).
2) maybe take out optional extras (like the games, adobe, onenote, msn messenger, mp3 trimmer, windows live, streaming media, fm radio, etc) and have them as an optional zip pack of cabs...if possible? those things all just take up space on my phone, as i see them as just optional addons that i dont need or use. personally, i would really like this.. anyone else have an opinion on this? 3) offer two different roms, with the only difference being the version of alltel's tf3d (one with the brown from the diamond, and one with the blue from the tp). and i know about calcu's tf3d cab installs, but ive always seen that as just sort of a inconvenience as it ends up taking up around 10 mb on space on my device. i would think having the tf3d built into the rom would just be more efficient. ...agree/disagree? |

I agree with the mp3 trimmer and onenote....But the others prob get used alot. I woulds like a better charging and battery status if it doesn't affect battery performance. Resco file explorer with reg add-on would be nice. Faster camera would be nice too.

Re: 12/21/08 Conflippers Alltel UC ROM (5.2.20759 Build 20759)
all considerations are considered. I can work on multiple themes.
mp3trimmer program uses up 131 kb. one note uses 915 kb. the big killer is all the tones i have in there. That is about 6170 kb. just on the defualt ringtones. Faster camera I will look into this. I will test other diamond builds and everything else. Opera is just starting to be a pain with everything. haha, i will get it right sometime though. And yeah I was thinking about adding in ariel battery, it would add another dimestion to everything. and so we will just see. I will work on these things, keep the ideas coming and I will see what I can do with them. |

Con,
Thanks for all ofthe great work you have done on the Vouge. Any chance you will be doing any more for the Touch? I wish I had a diamond but that ain't gonna happen anytime soon. So I am stuck with the Touch. Firsttimer |

I am using the conflippers 11/28/08 version. Do you by any chance know how to edit the categories in calendar and contact?
i can't edit it. it only allows me to create new categories but not modify or delete which is really frustrating |

Re: 12/21/08 Conflippers Alltel UC ROM (5.2.20759 Build 20759)
1.) Opera fix for sore.
2.) I wouldn't mind seeing Help, Onenote, things like that dumped. 3.) The versions based around different manillas... thats a style only thing thats easily fixed via Cab... 10 megs or so of added space isn't a big deal considering how much space our phones have. 4.) I wouldn't like to see any battery add ons, I had requested a while back on the Touch roms for GreenBat but its all so simple to install these little personal things via cab/UC why not just do that. |

Re: 12/21/08 Conflippers Alltel UC ROM (5.2.20759 Build 20759)
battery addons are unnecessary and can really be added on as/if needed. why do we need to constantly need to know what percentage of our battery is availble- just hit the home key, or wait a few minutes until you come back to the tf3d where you can set the battery monitor to always appear.
i believe in the cleanest of clean roms yielding the most efficient benchmarked results. the more space available, the more space we have to install our personal apps like google maps, psshutxp or what not. i am a believer of clean roms, which allow the users the most ability to install their personal apps they use- and allow the users to avoid having apps that they do not use to clog up their space that they could otherwise put to better use. i see that as a positive. |
