Alright. I may just wait for the next upgrade. Lol I have had mine fully functional and the way I want it for only a week so far. Tired of tweaks. But I appreciate your efforts. This is the Best alltel Rom out.

I am having the GPS problem with this new update. It was working great off the 11-28 Rom. Now it is not picking up any satellites and if I go to turn location off it crashes. Those of you having this problem...What radio are you using?

i needed by gps while i was using this rom, started up google maps and got a lock fine, but when i clicked on Search nothing happened. so i had to go into menu-search, and that worked. while i was doing all of this my phone completely froze up on me, about two or three times throughout this whole ordeal. it was so bad we had to use my gf's blackberry and fire up blackberry maps (which is a pretty bad app, espec compared to google maps).

dealbreaker.

i really keep wanting to use this rom, i keep trying every new release to see if its there yet... but its just not as stable yet, compared to the other options i have. (not trying to knock on you either con!)

Not sure what would be causeing this. I will look into all of this, I am sorry for the troulbes everyone is having with this release.

None taken. It takes time. and the thing is that a lot of times, I have the latest software and everything out.

I am working on everything, I am sorry you are not happy with it though.

Hey Con, I switched back to 11-28 and GPS is working fine. I use the Garmin software for GPS and with the 12-13 ROM I got GPS working using GPS Intermediate driver setting on Garmin. It is normally working on COM 4 setting. I don't know if this will help you or not...

okay thanks, It just worked on a few things, flashing now. it might have been the new drivers i used. I will maybe have to revert back to those i think.

Live search locked on to GPS right away
Google Maps locked on to GPS
Google maps search button did not work.

I am going to include a google maps on there stock now. Just because it seems liek that is what everyone is using. and i will be able to test easier.

Also a newer opera will be on there has well.

Will it use less memory including google maps in the ROM. Google has been updating their map software quite often and with how easy it is to download to the device is it necessary to include in ROM. I personally do not like Google Maps and don't really want it on my device. But if it uses less memory building it in the ROM then I guess I will have to deal with it..

yeah i just try it in a test rom, and yeah, i do not like it. i thought it might work better but it does not. so not sure. Did get locks very fast though. I will leave google maps out in the end.

Going to recook with older gps drivers to see if that helps anything.


So everyone troubles have been Contact issue (didnt see this issue)
GPS not working in live search or Google Maps (works for me in both)
PIE keyboard popup (still working on it)
Keyboard typing number (should be fixed)
Google Maps Seach not working. (its working now.)

Any issue that i missed?

What do you think the problem w/ sms is? Could it be xT9 ap? or a registry error?

what SMS issue?
