Re: 11/19/08 Conflippers Alltel UC ROM (5.2.20759 Build 20759)

Okay Con, I've only played with it for about an hour, but here's what I've observed with the test version.
  • Bluetooth - IT WORKS!! :headbang: I had none of the problems that I had before and I wasn't able to recreate them.
  • YouTube - I know you said it still had that bug, but I wanted to try anyway. Loaded a video and started watching it, paused it, and then changed the volume expecting it to crash. Well, it didn't crash, but it did freeze and I couldn't do anything but hit the end button a couple times to get out of it. After this, my phone seemed to run sluggish for a few minutes, which had been fine before I recreated the YouTube problem, so I don't know what that was about. I ended up soft resetting anyway so...everything's running just fine now.
  • SMS - Haven't noticed anything wrong here? What was it you said to look for?
Like I've said, only an hour so far, but everything seems to be good other than YouTube volume. It is fast! I'll let you know more as I play with it more.

And on a personal note, I think I like the Diamond Manilla better! lol...and I love having the CommManager tab!

Okay let me know of anything you might see.

Last night I also Updated Full Screen Player, Gsensor Calibrator, ShareDLL, and Advanced Power Management. These are all new versions that I added last night. I will look for some more once I get home.

I will also try and get youtube going, It seems to be the one last issue i have.

SMS issue if i understand correct, it is when you get like a 2 page SMS, and you view the first one, and close it out, it shows there is still one new message, the second part. And until you view both parts, part 1 and part 2, doing this will take away the noticication. That is what i understand it to be. I am not 100% sure but I think that is right. This is an issue they are doing in all newer builds it is microsoft doing this and not me, I think I have a workaround though, I will wait when I get home.

The keyboard popup issue is fixed.

If you have any other issues please let me know.

Good deal on finding those updates. Oh, and you better update Teeter, I play that game all of the time! haha

I did notice that the keyboard doesn't pop up a few times when I open a text, so that's good! And about the SMS notifications, I've noticed that too. I've noticed that for a few ROMs now, no big deal to me really. What happens is, I'll get a text, I'll open it and read it. Well, while I'm reading I'll get another text. When I close the text and return to TFL3D, it'll show me previewing text 2/XX, instead of 1/XX, so I'll have to flip up to the new text and either leave it there for a few seconds to make the notification go away, or just open the text and close it.

Awesome news!

What was the SIP issue? The fix isn't the disable of the auto deploy is it? :(

Re: 11/19/08 Conflippers Alltel UC ROM (5.2.20759 Build 20759)

Here's what I just noticed with SMS, if it's an old/read text that you click on to open, it opens with the cursor already in the text field and keyboard minimized so there's no conflict. A simple tap on the keyboard and your good to go.

But with new/unread messages, it's a little different. Instead of the text opening up with the cursor in the text filed, it opens up with the new text highlighted. So at this point, if you click in the text field, the keyboard pops up, but then goes back down, and it'll do this as many times as you tap in the text field. What you have to do is, tap on the keyboard first to bring that up, then tap in the text field to begin typing.

You guys can try it to see if you get the same results. I just sent a text to myself to test this. I am using a test version rom right now though, so it could work differently for you w0rdie.

Yeah... thats what I'm talking about... that and the unread count not updating are my two most major concerns. :(

Con, only other think I've run into on the test build so far is that TFL3D randomly restarted on me two different times.

okay thanks, I might go back to the diamond release. or something i am not sure yet. I still got some testing to do.

SMS is making me want to throw computer and phone into a giant lake. lol. If i get it working right, then something else with SMS is messed up. If i get the fixed. then the sms is messed up. lol it is just a headache. Also I will have more software updates in there later has well. another version of full screen player and print via bluetooth are just to name a few.

Just go back to one where everything works lol, then no headaches! Just update it with all the software you can, slim it down, remove the crap, and work on the speed, performance, and battery...then we'll be good to go!
