Re: 2/26/09 Conflippers UC ROM (5.2.21018 Build 21018)

So far this rom seems really stable. I'm really liking the return to raphael manila. The other was too sporatic. The new HTC Menus are a nice addition. Except for the Comm Manager not working and the missing Power option in Settings, I didn't notice any other bugs.

Re: 2/26/09 Conflippers UC ROM (5.2.21018 Build 21018)

I just found something wrong with message notifications. When I have threaded text messaging open and receiving multiple texts, closing out threaded messaging doesn't clear the notifcations.

I would receive texts and after closing threaded messaging, the bubble notification still shows that I have unread texts. I have to open and close threaded messaging just to clear one notification. Either that or preview each message in TF3D one by one.

On your last rom closing threaded would clear all notifications. Is there a quick fix for this Con?

Re: 2/26/09 Conflippers UC ROM (5.2.21018 Build 21018)

I see, I'm always glad to test your roms. I been playing with album and it is snappy again. No sensor problem to report and Youtube and Opera have been good also.

I didn't notice any SIP lag but then again I use Touchpal keyboard and not the Touch Input one.

Anxious for the final release and am glad you decided to rollback to older, yet more stable versions. It makes everything run faster and smoother without the hiccups.

Cool Re: 2/26/09 Conflippers UC ROM (5.2.21018 Build 21018)

So far I have only noticed a couple of issues.

1. I too have the problem with the comm manager not working. I have to go into the individual settings on the settings>connections tab and turn them on or off.

2. When using the block recognizer to enter text, frequently after a few letter the image for the letter I just drew will "hang" on the screen and it will freeze for several seconds before translating the letter and moving on. This happened on the previous rom as well.

3. The option on the settings tab of the TF3D to add additional tabs is now missing. This was a nice feature I thought.

4. Opera browser vibrates everytime a link is clicked and I have not found out how to turn this off. Seems like this could be a battery drain if used much. Also I still cannot access Bank of America mobile site as it says "for security reasons, your device can't access Mobile banking". It works fine in the Internet Explorer and was working in the original Alltel Opera on the original rom, but not when I have tried putting that browser on this rom. Any ideas? Otherwise the browser is awesome and loads fast.

5. As you know, timezone still wacky. Oddly, mine seems to only revert to Atlantic (forward one hour from my time zone of Eastern) only when I reset the phone now. This is after using the *228 to reset my roaming on the phone. It seems that for everyone it is advancing the timezone by an hour. Could this have any relation to the fact that we are in the "in between" week from the new time change date and the original date? I know my Brinks keypad is still an hour behind because the software date hasn't been changed yet. Just a thought. The other thought I had is that on the original Alltel ROM on the settings>phone>services tab there used to be an option for time synchonization but that is not there anymore. Could this have anything to do with the timezone issue?

Otherwise, fantastic, sharp, super fast ROM. Thank you for all the hard work. Hopefully we can all work together to sort out these final few issues, making it a perfect ROM for the diamond!!!

Re: 2/26/09 Conflippers UC ROM (5.2.21018 Build 21018)

To get the time synchronization back in the phone services tab just go to "HKLM\software\oem\phonesetting\hiddentimesyncpage " with a registry editor and change the DWORD to 0.

It seems that the phone syncs time every time you reset or start the phone and in my case it goes to eastern time zone when I have central time zone set. I've had to uncheck the box in phone services that automatically synchronize with mobile network to keep my time zones from changing ever reset until Con finds a permanent fix.

One more issue... It seems that the home and back arrow buttons don't function properly anymore. My home button opens a symbols page.
