Re: [ ROM ] [ KITCHEN ] JUICY 8 - Build 090618V (21815.5.0.50) [UC]

Play around with this rom for a night and couple of questions and notes:

1. The direct call a favorite contact from manila's "people" tab still would not work. Basically I pressed one contact, it just input the number in the dialer and I still need to hit call button to dial.

2. This is my 1st 6.5 ROM as well as first universal carrier ROM, so this might be a basic question. The data connection is this rom is named "DATA", still dial#777 to connect though, while in Sprint stock, it is named "sprint". And also the tethering part, it use "DATA" as well. My question is, whether it's OK to use it like this with Sprint, or I should do something to change it to "sprint".

3. all the ##codes are not working, such as ##778#, ##DEBUG# etc. How can I enable those?

4. the G-sensor auto rotate screen is partially working for emails. I checked the registry and found only "outlook email" is included in the white list. So what I have now is only in pocket outlook account, the screen would rotate, but all other email accounts such as gmail, hotmail etc, it's not working. Normally I do not use "outlook email" at all, it looks only useful to sync with Outlook in PC, you can edit and view emails but cannot send anything. Another thing is texting is not included in G-sensor list either. Do you know how I can add these two in the whitelist, email and texting?
Thanks a lot.

I think its been mentioned before that ## codes are not working.
You can create shortcuts instead:
##DIAG - "\Windows\DMRouter.exe"
##DEBUG - "\Windows\FieldTrial.exe"
##PRL - "\Windows\EPST.exe" ##775
##PST - "\Windows\EPST.exe" ##778
etc...

With the tachi dialer you have to choose what you want. You either get a full functioning dialer, or ## code support, not both.

This can be changed via reg entry
hklm\software\micorsoft\dialparser=dpext.dll will give you full dialer support
hklm\software\micorsoft\dialparser=ddcall.dll will give you ## codes support.

It may be fixed with future tachi releases, but right now there is no solution other than creating shortcuts like wavez mentioned, or you can make two cabs that switches between the two on demand.

Use G-Config for the G-Sensor.

Tried this app, somehow gmail/outlook email/text messaging are listed as the same "inbox.mainwind", which makes me wonder why you have to individually add different email accounts to make them all work while previously on other 6.1 roms (mainly stock rom), once the inbox is included all your accounts (emails and sms) are taken care of.

And the autorotation is very very slow as well.

Hey great job on the rom, anyone tell me if you guys have any of the same problems
1.) The keyboard won't vibrate when the option is selected
2.) People I text message are saying that now they are receiving duplicate messages of the same message at random times (not all at once)
3.) The phones sound stopped working completely when i tried to enable the vibrate on the keyboard. Disabling the option and a soft reset fixed this.
4.) The camera takes pictures in the portrait orientation even though the camera interface is in landscape & when i touch the button it doesnt register yet it lights up

Anyone else having problems after restoring their old contacts? I tried restoring my PIM backup, and syncing from my computer, and both times the contacts crash TF3D...? If I just got to Outlook contacts it works fine, but TF3D goes in a crash startup loop and I can't get it to work. Appointments and tasks were restored successfully... Any clue?

try Microsoft MyPhone....Much better syncing program.

ON the topic of restoring your stuff, flash to a 6.1 ROM, restore your info, download MyPhone - Sync....Install your 6.5 Rom (Juicy's already has Myphone installed)......and voila. No more syncing issues.
