Well, now that you're back on the stock ROM, it might be a good time to speak to Telus tech support about this. I was gonna suggest that you try stock before. Who knows. Maybe somewhere along the way, the GPS hardware failed. Sorry to hear you haven't gotten this sorted out. Sounds extremely frustrating!

Re: *UPDATED* [Nov 5] Juicy ROM 3.0 [SYS OS 5.2.20755 Build 20924.3.0] [UC]
Well I restored my phone using SPBBackup and it's "ROM upgrade Mode" and now everthing works. My only issue now is, have I now broken something that has been fixed in this ROM. Does anyone else use SPBBackup and is it okay to do a full restore using the rom upgrade mode? Thanks

Just for kicks and giggles and to see if I could help, I hardreset and then edited out my gpsOne settings entirely. They are disabled... entirely. Then I pulled the reg entries too. Soft-reset. GPS still functions, though a lock takes a minute or so. O'Neill, sorry bro, you may have a defunct gps chip, or... *shrug*
Incidentally, my Mogul, which has no actual service will also lock given time, with aGPS off. Might try it, just to see. Also, what are you using to access the GPS? Tried using GPS Utilities and logging NMEA data? I had to do that with my Mogul when I was trying to figure out why it refused to lock on anything. aGPS without some source for data, completely hoses the whole deal. |

THis rom is NOTICEABLY faster than any other I've tried. But... do anyone notice a huge battery drain? I took it off the charger this morning at 8 and by 12 noon, it was down to 40%. And it was very light usage. I don't have push email, nor bluetooth on.
Conflipper's ROM had much better battey life.. hmm....

Let me start by thanking Juicy, Juggalo, et al for all of your hard work - nice improvements in 3.0.
I did notice a minor issue with using the T9 function while texting. The first autocomplete suggestion seems to be gibberish based on the first letter of the keys being pressed. As I said, a real minor, if not a non-issue, because the suggestion seems to jump over that entry and go to the first real word, but this is something that I hadnt noticed in any of the previous releases (been using your ROMs since 2.1). Hope that helps and thanks again for your great work. |

How do I change the highlight color. The green is definitely not my favorite.
