Question about cooking.

Is there any way that I could replace manila with something else (say, SPB dash or Ifonz)?

Would it be as easy as just including it in the kitchen, and unchecking manila?

Excellent. Anything else I have to do to the app I want to replace manila with? (run it through OEMizer or anything?)

you have to create or get an oem package for the today plugin you wish to include. then drop it in the oem folder and cook as you would.... but uncheck manila.

You don't actually NEED to uncheck manila, as you can just uncheck it from the today screen options. But if you're not going to use it, no point in the extra 1000 files

Could someone point me to an updated OEMizer tutorial? Using Tobey's kitchen, I tried using OEMizer to add in Live Search. Everything seemed to work but when it was building ( after hitting the play button) I got an error something.hz if I recall correctly so I am obviously missing something. I did try flashing because after closing the error, it still showed done and I let it fully build the rom. The phone flashed but would not boot fully.

You most likely have some registry errors in your RGU file. If you post it, I'm sure we could help you with it...

Thanks for trying to save me a little work, and now I'm busted! This was all part of my evil plan to expand my own personal cab collection.

Edit: Here is a link to a working Ervias's Package Creator. It's a little bumpy getting it started sometimes...

Thank you. You are probably right. I heard that OEMizer doesn't always do the reg edits correctly. Thats said, I have no idea what to look for and how to fix. I would post but, I recieved tracking info for the Touch Pro and it's already out for delivery so I will be moving to that so no need to build a custom rom right now.

Sounds like I probably did things right with OEMizer but just needed to tweak it.
