conflipper, the the issue isnt activation its PRL. he is roaming because he cant get the alltel prl on the device.

I was just letting everyone know that alltel will activate it. has for the PRL at this time, I have not seen the diamond, so i am not sure what setting might be happening with it. I should have one this weekend I can try and figure it out then.

Can anybody provide a rational business reason why Verizon would do this? It makes no sense to me.

is there a registy hack to disable the indicator? i know i will not be roaming anytime soon and do not want the annoying bar up there. am i alowed to post a pic of my epst settings?

i just switched to dharveys rom today and did not let the custimizations run but i asume that because it is still sprint based that even without letting them run it would still not have the alltel settings so it still says i am roaming. in the epst it says my prl is 30033 and i had 40038 on there before i did a *228 option 3 and 2. i am going to try the 40038 on there now through ##775#. juggalo i am curious to know if there has been issues with the prl not taking in other devices and if so would it still display 30033 in the epst if it did not take it. also when i first got the device it was brand new and when i cut it on it did the auto activation on howevers acount it was registered to before so for the first four hours i had sprint service then i called them and they said they could not see whos account it was on but they still let me keep the service. anyway i then unlocked it and flashed juicys rom and edited the epst for alltel. just telling you this because that may had been why it is roaming because it is still on.

also mr conflipper i loved your alltel roms when i had my sprint touch on alltel thanks. and yes i hit the thanks button when i used them too. just putting a face to the thanks. when i called alltel to initially activate my phone they said it could not be done because it was a sprint phone. then he went and asked to make sure after i told him i already had a sprint phone on alltel and he came back with a we can do it but you will not have data and everthing will not work. i told him that was fine just activate it please and he did.

did that already too that is why it is driving me crazy wonder what the chances of wordie giving me the epst settings are? i hope the new alltel rom gets dumped so i can flash it.
