Re: [DEC 5th New Telus Radio V1.04.05V] Official CDMA Diamond Radio Thread

This may be a stupid question so please dont flame me. I upgrade my roms by flashing from the internal storage. Is it possible to do the same thing with radios, or is it not worth chancing it? Thanks.

Yep, you can flash from the internal storage. Just did my first radio upgrade to the Telus radio due to the positive feedback. From sprint OEM to the telus just a quick bar check @ work, on the sprint radio i'd generally hold @ 2 bars and flutuate down to 1 every now and then. With the telus on watching it for the last few minutes I have stayed at 3 pretty solidly, with only a small flutuation between 2 and 4.

Just to clearify things, when you flash either the Radio or a Rom onto your phone using the internal storage method, your phone will detect weither its a radio or an OS Rom.
When I upgraded my Telus Radio Rom froms tock to the new 1.04.05, it clearly said on the boot screen that it was a RADIO that it detected so no worries about flashing either or files.

P.s. the new Telus radio to me still seems about equal on performance with the stock one :S nothing really noticeable.
