Re: [UPDATED] Official CDMA Diamond Radio Rom Thread

I havent had any issues eather. It still seems to get pretty hot. I noticed while watching you tube it will get pretty hot and then just randomly close the program. That happened on both radios. I havent noticed a change in battery neather.

Re: [UPDATED] Official CDMA Diamond Radio Rom Thread

Flashed the Verizon 1.03 radio on Saturday and no problems at all until Monday morning when I used GPS in the car. Half way to destination, about 15 minutes of using GPS, the phone turned off and was stuck vibrating - nothing turns it off but a Soft Reset. After the reset, I go back to use the GPS and 1 minute later it dies again. I try Soft Reset again and this time it doesn't even get to TouchFlo3d as it dies again, black screen and permanent vibrating!! It seems that once the problem starts, it can happen whenever. I've had it happen while charging, while in standby in the holster, even during customizations after a Hard Reset!!! I've had it happen 1 minute after flashing back to Juicy 2.5. I've also had it happen after going back to stock Telus. In the past 24 hours, I must have reset my phone 20 times.

The battery is now removed from the phone. I'll try using it again but this time without using any GPS software whatsoever but I got a feeling that the My Locations (911) may be using it without my knowledge anyways. Guess turning that off may be the next option until a Telus radio is available.

I'm scared it could happen while flashing a ROM or a new radio... but if this is truely a driver problem, then bootloader may not be plagued with this issue.

Try the sprint radio if your having vibration issues. this could be due to the way vzw sets up its gps.

I was going to bring it back to Future Shop until I saw your post! Surprised not many people are experiencing this.

Re: [UPDATED] Official CDMA Diamond Radio Rom Thread

yep its an issue that's apparent on the vzw radio only with GPS usage. ghettofreeryder has some very good theories. which i tent to believe might be the issue. try the sprint radio if you are seeing these issues. see if it solves them.

Re: [UPDATED] Official CDMA Diamond Radio Rom Thread

what about the sprint touch pro radio rom? its more updated than the verizon one, possibly with all the sprint tweaks that keep the gps and whatnot from going out of whack.

i flashed back to the sprint diamond's stock radio rom because i was having problems with the weather app, and it kept hard resetting itself out of nowhere. at one point it wouldn't even boot w/out being hard reset like 5 different times.
