Was at 100% charge right before bed. Got up this morning and phone was at 92%. Been up for two hours now and the phone is at 91%. Very minimul usage so far though. I have checked the time and checked the battery status a few times. Used the internet to check data speed through dslreports.com and thats about it. I did install the 1% battery status and the better looking status icon last night. Only real difference between now and before the radio flash is that I am not using push mail and I do not have gyrator installed. So far it does look like an improvment but still to early to tell.

my data speed isn't any better or worse with the new VZW radio and I can't honestly say my reception is any better or worse either.

shaweeet.

I'm actually noticing slowing EVDO speeds on this verizon radio. My dsl reports in IE were 10x faster than in Opera. IE was around 800 k/s and opera was a whopping 112... kinda strange - never noticed a speed difference from browser to browser before now...

I find those speed tests vary big time. I ran a set this morning and was getting 1400k/s. Tried a few minutes later and was getting 148k/s. Same browser. I would say this has nothing to do with the radio since I got the same behavior on the telus radio.

well that's kind of a relief. lol.

the overall browsing of random web pages i find are a bit snappier - but I guess i'm letting dslreports create a bit of paranoia for me....

speed tests vary huge and opera seems to suck at them more then IE i use IE for speed tests. yesterday i speed tested at 18xxkbps in IE with the vzw radio. :)
