FYI.
I was wondering why my Diamond was getting so darn hot after trying a few new ROMs. I'm now back on MR and had flashed my Sprint Shipped a few times. Noticed I was using the 1.11 radio. I just went back to the 1.07.06 radio and my phone started cooling off immediately. Really amazing.

How is your battery life with that radio? In your opinion, is it better than the Telus v1.04.05?

Not a whole lot of difference... I'd say it was a little better- seems to hold signal better which is probably easier on the battery.

I live in the Midwest...hills-trees and bad weather...lol Im actually in Omaha, Nebraska...what would be a good fit for my Diamond? I need something that runs cooler and not so hot like my Sprint 1.11 radio...can anyone help that may be in the area?
Thanks

check there, there's probably somewhere nearby on there.. but that list hasn't been updated since the new 1.07.06 radio has been out for the diamond.

I'm a Sprint user and was getting horrible speed test results with the Telus 1.07 radio (400-500kbps). My stock rom got 700-800. Just switched to this radio and achieved a whopping 1700kbps.

I'm on Caulkins 4.7, stock sprint radio and I just flashed my Diamond to the VZW radio and immediately saw a difference in bars. I'm in N. Georgia/Tennessee...figured VZW would be best since whenever I roam its their towers anyway

FYI - The Link listed as "Fast Mirror" for the Verizon 1.03.03 Radio causes a HARD RESET...

Learned that the hard way... sigh...

Alltel Radio 1.03.13F

get it here: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...9&postcount=12

its not the most recent radio, but on all other radios ive tried... in areas (rural Ohio) where i have literally always been roaming and in mostly 1x or very rarely EV (and killing my battery life) with this Alltel radio is clearly better results. Mostly low-signal RevA, or fine EV. Hardly ever gets into roaming as well. The performance I got from the radio made me want to share it!
