I'm not sure what you mean by the "older ones." If your Diamond is unlocked and ready for rom flashing, there shouldn't be any reason for a hard reset with a radio flash form this thread. As always, I would still back up your data prior to any rom or radio flash...just in case! lol.

I am not sure about that. some of the older radios are not packaged that way. I think the following radios will hard reset the phone unless Juggalo has packaged them differently.

HTC Diamond Radio Rom v1.00.00F (Sprint Shipped) Fast Mirror Mirror

Sprint Test Touch Pro Radio v1.00.04F

VZW TouchPro Radio Rom v1.03.03v (Verizon Shipped rom for the Touch Pro)

there is a way to avoid this and this is covered somewhere in this thread but do not know where. sorry.

Thanks Riley. That's exactly what I meant. The older ones were packaged differently than the more recent Sprint and Telus radio.

I think I might be sticking with the Telus radio. Was considering going back to Verizon, but battery seems to be slightly better or about the same as Verizon. Signal is comparable. Heat issues seem to be minimal and better than the newer Sprint or Verizon radio.

Sprint's newest radio had a horrible heat issue. My phone was on fire. And I had trouble getting a signal or would lost reception all the time where I didn't have the issue with the Verizon or Telus radios. Battery was comparable, but can't deal with other two issues.

definitely agree. the Telus radio is really good in my opinion but it depends on your location.

Sprint Test Touch Pro Radio v1.00.04F

Sprint Raphael Radio V1.03.15F Shipped

Warrning: After flashing a radio it will preform a RTN, this is a hard reset that the radio initiates. BACK UP ALL YOUR DATA BEFORE FLASHING A RADIO ROM. I take no responsibility for lost or corrupted data.

Remember: I am not responsible for bricked devices. Your phone, your risk, your problem if something goes wrong.

Thanks to No2Chem for lending me a hand in the early days!

:violent2:Thanks for posting this thread. I am using the 1.11 radio on my TP and it works great!!

:violent2: This Radio 1.11 works fine in the whole state of Florida. I travel this state from the Marco Is. area all the way up to Daytona on the east and to Gainesville on the west and it is always there when I need it.

i would suggest trying the most recent ones to find out what works best in your area :thumbright:

if you're not willing to try that, there is a thread discussing the best radios to use for various cities.
